Spent Saturday immersed in Mardi Gras culture at WYES’s "King Cake & Conversation" - a fundraiser supporting public television and celebrating Carnival traditions. Sampled an impressive lineup of king cakes, heard from Big Queen Dianne Honoré Montana of the Yellow Pocahontas Hunters, and enjoyed a special conversation with Arthur Hardy, honoring his retirement and 50 years of his legendary "Mardi Gras Guide." Throw in Errol & Peggy Scott Laborde, the Pussyfooters, a little Carnival shopping, and a spirited crowd, and it made for a standout afternoon of all things Mardi Gras. 💜💛💚

Thank you, 2025.
Ending this year feeling deeply grateful - for my loving family, dear friends, improving health, meaningful work, and the opportunity to finally begin a long-held dream of travel.
That dream took me from my beloved New Orleans, Abita Springs, and Pensacola, to Rome, Florence, Naples, Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Olympia, Valletta, Sicily, Paris, Versailles - and some sweet time spent in the Caribbean islands.
2025 was a life-changing year for me, and I'm so very thankful for every unforgettable moment.
