Prediction: there is going to be a major uptick in e-bike and e-scooter fatalities this summer and nothing is being done to prevent that. I just witnessed a teen cross the intersection on 98 on a don’t walk✋sign while looking at his phone.

Today is the LAST MONDAY for most of the Florida panhandle schools and while I do post a lot about issues, I thought today would be a great day to shout some praises. I’d love to hear all of your kids accomplishments and teacher shoutouts!

My oldest was awarded 3rd place overall at the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival and credits Ms. Southworth for her growth this year and allowing creative expression to really push her into spaces she’s never ventured. I’m heading to Hobby Lobby today to grab a frame for this as a surprise for her!

We are a home of creatives. All 3 of my kids have art scattered all around the house and we use art as a way to calm our nervous system and relax almost daily. I have paint all over my dining room table and I’m not complaining. 😂 and to answer the question I’ve received several times about supporting and keeping art and music in schools - I think this post is pretty obvious on where I stand.

**just a heads up - I personally do not share photos of my children BUT if you want to in this thread, I’m totally ok with it as long as you know my posts can reach over 100,000 unique viewers.
