If you have only used social media for fun, then you can't expect it to work for you as a lead generation tool for your business without making a few adjustments.

The good news is....I've studied this for YEARS and have mastered it-- to the tune of 250 transactions that I can attribute to social media.

After interviewing dozens of agents this year (while I was planning out the curriculum for my upcoming "Consistently Social" Course),
I discovered that each agent struggling on social media was missing at least 1 of the 3 necessary parts to social success.

Some of these changes can even be updated immediately. And the best part is that what you are posting isn't even the most important part. That should relieve some stress for some of you.

These are the 3 parts that I've identified as pieces that need to work together to attract dream clients into your DMs:

1) Social Media Presence and Positioning
2) Strategic Content Plan
3) Growth and Intentional Connections

"Ugh! I'm so frustrated. My buyers just found out that their friend's brother-in-law is a real estate agent so now they don't want to work with me after I've put so much time into helping them"

โ˜๏ธHas that ever happened to you?โ˜๏ธ I read that in a real estate forum recently (and it happens to almost every agent at least once).

I wish I could go back in time and help them. A simple 2-part process needs to happen long before you start showing houses.

The students in my upcoming "Consistently Social" class (that's opening enrollment this week) will learn how to completely remove this problem in the very first module and we'll implement the full plan together.

I cannot wait to share this stuff!

We've had clients hire us to list and also help them buy EVEN WHEN THEIR OWN MOTHER or sibling or cousin was an agent. That's how I know it works.

Sunday real estate thoughts...
When it comes to success in social media, becoming an expert at ONE THING has been the best thing we've done in our business over the years.

It sets you apart from the sea of agents on social media...and it will make content creating so much easier too.

It has brought us more referrals and raving fans than anything else.

For years that was Sellers for us (or often "move up" buyers) in one specific zip code.

๐Ÿ’ญThink about it this way๐Ÿ’ญ
If a seller knows 4 agents but
YOU are the one that shares all the "get ready to sell" tips in their area,
YOU know the neighborhood,
YOU share success stories from their neighbors

๐Ÿ‘‰...they will be more likely to choose YOU over the other 3 general agents that vaguely "help everyone buy, sell, invest everywhere"

It has brought us more referrals and raving fans than anything else.

It's OK if you need to learn a few things and dive into a new neighborhood or new demographic.

YOU will have the fresh prospective.
YOU will have the fresh energy.
YOU will see things that others overlook.

There is so much value there.

-The HERO of the "story" needs to be your clients...NOT you! You cannot play the hero role. You are just the guide. (this applies to everything you share on your social media and website)

-But how will people know that you are great?? You can show your authority and empathy through testimonials and credentials and success stories but don't make yourself the focus.
That's what I've learned already in "Building a Story Brand." What GREAT REMINDERS about how to best share your business so people pay attention!
