What is Barre?
One of the questions I hear most often is, “What exactly is barre?”
Barre is a low-impact workout inspired by ballet, Pilates, and functional movement. Don’t worry—you don’t need any dance experience!
Using the barre for support, we focus on posture, balance, core strength, flexibility, and muscular endurance through small, controlled movements.
What I love most about barre is that it meets you where you are. Whether you’re brand new to exercise or looking for a challenging workout, movements can be modified to fit your body and your goals.
At Gallery Barre, barre isn’t about becoming a dancer.
It’s about moving better, feeling stronger, and building confidence in your body.
