Saturday, March 21st at approximately 4:26 PM, Hamilton Fire was dispatched by Marion County E-911 to a reported structure fire.

The first-arriving lieutenant arrived on scene shortly after dispatch, assumed command, and confirmed a single-wide trailer with heavy smoke and fire showing. Engine 1 arrived shortly after and immediately initiated fire attack while performing a primary search, which was negative.

We are proud to report that there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters during today’s incident.

We would like to thank Marion County E-911, Hamilton Police Department, and Marion EMS for their support and assistance on this call.

Hamilton Chamber of Commerce— Scares on the Square. Meet Sgt. Crow— the pride, the legend, and the paperwork powerhouse of the Hamilton Police Department!

Don’t be alarmed by that face — that’s not fear, that’s frustration… mostly because someone made him leave his desk. Sgt. Crow spends about 98% of his time “supervising,” which usually means locking himself in his office, searching for misplaced commas in reports, writing officers up for forgetting to submit their activity logs, reviewing body cam between episodes of Blue Bloods, scheduling “training” on everyone’s day off, and sending “reply-all” emails at 4:59 p.m. He usually shrugs it off, and you can often hear him muttering, “I’m sorry, but the Chief made me do this…” He’s also been known to say things like, “Back when I was on patrol…”

Despite his constant scowl, Sgt. Crow’s heart is as warm as a radar gun in August. Just don’t ask him to change his schedule, work traffic, or help with a public relations event — that’s “beneath his pay grade.”

So, please stop by the south side of the Marion County Courthouse and thank him for his service. He’s doing his best… reluctantly.
