Looking for a pet sitter? 🐾 is now booking pet sitting services and has a fresh new logo to match!

The goal was to create something bright, fun, and professional while still feeling playful and full of personality. The color palette was inspired by the peach-faced lovebird she had growing up, and is one of my favorite details in the whole design.

I also love the tiny little custom elements in the wordmark that add just the right amount of charm and playfulness. Such a fun brand to bring to life!

A rare moment where I get to be both the client and the designer, which makes it more difficult because I’m my own worst client.

Still very much a work in progress, but building something that feels slow, rooted, and true to me.

A brand works when it resonates with people.
Not when it’s perfect, but when it feels real.

After 18 years of branding and website work, I’ve learned that a strong brand doesn’t come from being perfect. It comes from making choices that feel intentional, authentic, and aligned with who you are and what your business stands for.

If you’re looking for a brand that resonates, let’s chat!

Sophisticated, Southern-preppy and timeless. It’s designed to feel polished, authentic, and classy.

What do you think of this Southern-preppy style?

If your brand feels “off” but you can’t quite explain why, it’s usually because the pieces aren’t working together.

Your brand includes your messaging, your website, your visuals, your tone of voice, and how people feel when they interact with your business. When these elements are aligned, your business feels clear, professional, and trustworthy.

When they aren’t, marketing feels harder than it needs to be and growth can feel stalled.

Branding doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does need to be intentional.

Does your business need clarity? I’d love to help!

A logo is important, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

A brand identity is built on strategy and storytelling. It defines how your business shows up, what it says, and how people connect with it. It’s the difference between something that looks good and something that actually works.

When brand identity is done well, your messaging feels clear, your visuals feel intentional, and your business tells a consistent story, everywhere it shows up.

This is why I approach branding with strategy first. Design should support your story, not just decorate it.

Save this if you’re thinking about your brand this year, or share it with a business owner who’s ready for more than just a logo.

Branding always starts with clarity. I take insights from a Brand Clarity questionnaire, pair them with research and strategy, and create a moodboard that guides the look and feel of the brand.

One of the most common conversations I have with business owners:
“I just need a logo.”

But here’s the truth, you need more than that.

Your logo is a visual identifier.
Your brand is the experience people have with your business.

Your brand includes:
• Your messaging
• Your website
• Your visuals
• Your brand voice
• How customers feel when they interact with you

When these things aren’t aligned, businesses struggle to grow, no matter how good the logo looks.

If you’ve ever felt like something is “off” but can’t quite name it, it’s often a branding issue, not a design one.

This is why strategy always comes first in my process.
Design should support your business, not confuse it.

Save this if it’s helpful and feel free to share it with a fellow business owner who might need it.

Branding is one of those things that feels simple, until it isn’t.

A logo is an important piece of your business, but it’s only one part of the picture. Your brand is the full experience people have with your business, from the words you use to how easy your website is to navigate.

When branding is built intentionally, it brings clarity. When it’s pieced together, it often creates confusion, both for business owners and customers.

This is why I always start with strategy. Design should support your business, not complicate it.

Stay tuned this week as I talk about the differences between logo design and brand design.

I started my business almost 17 years ago, pregnant with my oldest, who turned 16 yesterday.

Like most small businesses, Mulberry Creative Co. has grown and evolved many times over the years. I’ve shifted directions, learned a lot along the way, and adapted as both my life and my business changed.

As a small business owner myself, I truly understand the challenges that come with building something from the ground up, the uncertainty, the overwhelm, and the constant decision-making that never really turns off.

Everything I’ve learned over the past 17 years is what I bring into my work with clients. I help small business owners find clarity, build strong foundations, and create brands and websites that support where they are now and where they want to go.

Helping people grow businesses they’re proud of is the reason I’ve been doing this for so long, and it’s still my favorite part of the job.
