Google Grants for Non-profits is an incredible program that provides eligible organizations with free advertising on Google AdWords. This program has been a lifeline for many non-profits, allowing them to reach a wider audience and raise awareness about their cause without increasing their budgets. There have been some important changes to the program for 2023 that all non-profits should be aware of.
Who qualifies for Google Grants?
To qualify for Google Ad Grants, your organization must be an eligible nonprofit, have a high-quality website that meets the Google website policy, and be able to meet the program policies. Hospitals, schools or colleges, or governmental institutions are NOT eligible for Google Grants..
New in Google Grants for 2023:
Most importantly, the daily budget for Google Grants for Non-profits has been increased from $329 to $40,000. This is an exciting increase and will allow non-profits to reach even more people with their their Google Search ads than before. Unfortunately, it's important to note that this budget is still subject to the $2 maximum cost-per-click limit.
Secondly, the targeting options for Google Grant ads have now been expanded to include YouTube and Gmail. This means that non-profits can now reach a wider audience by placing their ads on these additional platforms. This will also allow non-profits to target specific demographics and interests, making their ads even more effective.
Thirdly, Google Grants for Non-profits will now require organizations to be up to date with their Google for Non-profits account information. This includes having an up-to-date website, contact information, and mission statement. This is to ensure that the ads are reaching the intended audience and that the non-profit is in compliance with the terms of the program.
Finally, Google Grants for Non-profits will now require non-profits to have a Google Analytics account set up to track the performance of their Grant ads. This will also allow non-profits to see how their ads are performing and make optimization adjustments as needed.
Google Grants for Non-profits is an invaluable tool for non-profits. These changes for 2023 will now allow non-profits to reach a wider audience and make the most of their advertising budget.
