Tonight we were able to give over 250 more people a hot meal. 💚

Our community is still very affected by the storm damage, many over 10 days without power. Can you imagine?!

We hope these meals can bring them some comfort.

None of this would be possible without amazing donors and volunteers!

Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce, Latin Lounge, Strack & Van Til, Cantrell & Cantrell, Old National Bank, People’s Bank, Salvation Army East Chicago Corps & Community Center, and many other individuals who came and donated their time again and again!

Thanks to some incredibly generous donors and a group of volunteers who jumped in to help, more than 250 meals were handed out to families in our community today.

We’ll always wish we could do more. But we hope that, for a little while today, it gave our neighbors one less thing to worry about.

This is our home, too. And when our community needs a hand, we’re proud to be one of the many willing to show up. ❤️

Our community was hit hard by this week’s severe storms, and when the damage is this widespread, it can be hard to know where to even begin helping.

So when we were asked to lend a hand serving and distributing more than 250 meals to families in our community, the answer was an immediate yes.

We know a meal can’t fix the damage or bring the power back on, but we hope it made the day just a little easier and gave our neighbors one less thing to worry about.

We’re grateful we had the opportunity to show up for the community.

Due to widespread power outages following the severe storms and tornadoes that impacted Northwest Indiana, our offices will remain closed for the remainder of the week.

With our office currently without power, this decision allows us to prioritize the safety of our team as our community begins to recover.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these storms, especially those facing damage to their homes and businesses, extended power outages, and the difficult work of cleaning up.

We are incredibly grateful for the first responders, utility crews, public works teams, and neighbors working throughout our communities to help one another during this time.
