Congrats to the River Trails crew for this awesome milestone! The McLean family donated land to Michigan Technological University with the idea that access to the Pilgrim River should be more publicly accessible for years to come. Some great things for the community are coming out of this project!

Lake it or not, the freighters always steel the show. 🚢

Meet the John G. Munson, a 768-foot self-unloading bulk freighter that's been sailing the Great Lakes since 1952. That's longer than two football fields of steel, hauling limestone, iron ore, and coal across some of the most powerful freshwater on the planet.

She set a Great Lakes limestone cargo record in her very first season. She's been repowered, lengthened, and modernized and she's still out there doing the work more than 70 years later.

And on one of our cruises out of Copper Harbor recently, she sailed right past us. 🌊

That's Lake Superior. You just never know.
