For the coming race, CopperDog has partnered with Goose Collective (GC) to help propel us forward in the world of online exposure! They will be helping us with short-form coverage, reels, vertical clips, and race-weekend stories on Instagram and Facebook.

But who are these people? What do they do? GC, can help purpose-led businesses, nonprofits, lifestyle brands, and destination-focused organizations show up online with clarity and intention!

What's more, they are a full service creative studio nested in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; photography, brand identity, social media marketing, e-mail marketing & content writing, website design, and PR & community engagement!

Your dog deserves a little sunbath! If you live in the UP of Michigan like we do (or near here) you most likley felt that huge storm yesterday, and the sun is now here to revive us. Phew.

As some of you know, we’ve been working with for a while now, and they just sent us a few dog beds to try, and Juno loves them. They’re thick and easy to wash (huge bonus for me) with a pillow case style cover. Perfect for a outdoor designated bed, just sayin!

The internet makes growth feel like it should be loud and immediate, like if you’re not chasing followers, impressions, or whatever the algorithm is rewarding this week, you’re already behind. We’ve felt that pressure too.

But before “big reach,” there’s local focus and it’s often where the strongest brands are actually built.

Small reach = the people already close to you. Your local community. Past clients. Word-of-mouth. Someone finding you on Google. A clean website. A consistent Instagram presence. Flyers, posters, local events, even a mention in the local paper.

It’s not flashy, but foundational. This is where trust is built, stories are tested, and your brand learns how to show up consistently.

Big reach = scale. SEO. Online ads. Social growth. Sharing your work beyond your zip code. Big reach works best after something solid exists underneath it. Not as a shortcut but as a way to carry a clear, grounded story farther than its zip code without watering it down.

Here’s the balance:
Big reach without roots feels hollow. Local love with no room to grow eventually runs out of oxygen. The brands that last learn how to hold both.Build locally. Show up consistently. Expand when it actually makes sense.

As we hit 2026, we keep starting this caption over and over, because honestly, we’re still a little in awe that we get to do what we love every day.

Goose Collective hasn’t even hit its first birthday yet (June birthday party coming, obviously… We’ll cake, friends, and at least one rogue goose balloon), but these first eight months have already been full of so much growth and learning.

We’ve worked with brands who trusted us with their stories, clients who welcomed us into their worlds, and communities who made us feel right at home. Somehow, we packed more creative adventures into 2025 than we ever imagined, and loved every second.

Truly, we have the most fun doing this work, and we get to do it because of you. Thank you for believing in us, choosing us, and letting us tell stories that matter. Being a tiny team doing big-hearted work is something we don’t take lightly.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited for more creating, more connecting, and more storytelling with people we genuinely love working with. We’ll also be opening a few discovery call spots for new clients in 2026 — if you’ve been dreaming something up, we’d love to hear about it!!
