Earlier this year, I got to work with the 💪🏽💪🏾💪🏿 team at to revamp their website.

It was a joy to get to hear about all the great programs they offer to the local community, from youth development, to adult education, to support for entrepreneurs (which obv made us so happy ☺️).

My favorite part of the new website? That may have to be the new headshots for the whole team taken by the brilliant — who I hope to collaborate with on every project from here. 🤩

Hi everyone! 👋🏻 It’s been a while since we’ve been active here, so I wanted to jump back in to say a big warm hello.

So much has happened at our agency in the past few years. Bianca, our wise and beloved co-founder, moved to Alaska for a fresh new chapter of her life, and has begun her own new ventures (which I will tell you more about!) that we believe will be hugely helpful to so many entrepreneurs all around the country.

Here in Harlem, I (Mara) have continued working with local businesses, change-making organizations, and bold and beautiful entrepreneurs. There have been so many fun projects I’m so thankful to have been a part of these past couple of years — so do come back to this space as I try to get my act together enough to tell you all about it.

There are still so many stories out there to be told, and in this new chapter of Sunbird Creative, we continue to be committed to walking with our fellow entrepreneurs to step out, be seen, be heard, be bold. 💥

Mojo Desserts won our very first brand story competition at the Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Now they're opening America's first chocolate mousse bar in East Harlem! We're so happy for Jaque and Johan. And we looooove their mousse. Join us this weekend!

This is a common mistake we see when we create background templates for our small biz clients to use for social media — they place their text without any breathing room between the words and the borders, which creates a hectic/crowded feel to the design. — make space around your text! 🌫
