Do you enjoy knowing where I find the graphics for my ooak pendants?

I was searching online for antique Japanese katagami stencils used for printing fabrics.

I found a site listing old katagami that had been auctioned. I printed the peacock feather stencil to use as an etching resist.

The texture on this ooak pendant was etched on the silver. The shape was hydraulic die formed and fabricated. The gold is the Korean technique keum boo.

This pendant is now in my studio 201.

Still looking for original handcrafted jewelry for Christmas? I’ll be in the studio Saturday December 11 and Saturday and Sunday December 18 and 19 th to assist you with your jewelry needs.

"Coffee will stunt your growth" ☕ ☕ ☕

🖐️ Raise your hand if you believe this?

I maxed out at a towering 5'2", so my own personal research was pretty short-lived (haha get it?) 😂

But I've loved coffee since I was like 4-feet tall, so there might actually be something to this theory 🤔

I remember my mom's monthly Mah Jong games. It was as much about giggling and gossiping with her pals as it was about the game. Oh, and it was always about the and the chocolate-covered raisins ☕ ☕ ☕

Remember those percolating-style silver coffee pots that took a whole 1-pound can of coffee and 45-minutes to brew? The ladies would giggle and gossip and play Mah Jong while they waited.

When the fresh, fragrant hot brew was fully perc'd, my mom would let me get JUST one styrofoam cupful (sorry global warming) always with more cream than coffee. 🤷‍♀️

Ahhh... my first vice.

Coffee is nostalgic and feels like love in a mug 😍 ☕

Write that sh*tty first draft!

I hear these objections quite often:

👉 I'm just not a good writer
👉 I have LOTS of ideas but don't know where to start
👉 Writer's block lives in my house

🤓 You might be surprised to know that these things plague "real" writers too!

My solution? 👇 👇 👇

➡️ Start writing an email to a friend. Don't send it, but use it as your first sh*tty draft

➡️ Use the talk-to-text feature on your phone and just talk about your idea. That's your first sh*tty draft.

➡️ Just write without regard for the final outcome. Don't worry about grammar or punctuation.

➡️ That's your first sh*tty draft.

After your first sh*tty draft? 👇 👇 👇

➡️ Step away for an hour or two. Maybe even 24-hours if you have time.

➡️ Revisit your first sh*tty draft.

➡️ Refine your thoughts, clean up the grammar and punctuation.

➡️ Share with an accountability partner for objective feedback.

➡️ Go through once more for final edits and tweaks.

💥 BOOM! You're done.

What's YOUR morning routine?

My morning routine sets the tone for the whole day 💥

And when something goes awry, I feel out of whack all day 🤪

My weekday morning routine starts at 6:00 am and goes like this:

⏰ Wake up, get ready for my workout + yoga

🐈 Feed the hungry-circling-like-a-shark kitties

🏃‍♀️ Workout + yoga

😐 Ungratifying household chores (litter box scooping, dishwasher emptying, trash/recycling)

☕ Coffee with the hubs

🥤 Make smoothie and take to my desk

💻 30-minutes to consume/post on social media

📆 Check Asana and prioritize the day's tasks

BUILD A WORD BANK FOR CONSISTENT CONTENT

Your word bank is for you and your marketing team to help you consistently create clear and concise content. 💥

ALSO:

✅ Your word bank can include phrases and taglines for your business or a new product or course launch.

✅ Your word bank can take any form and live anywhere that’s easily accessible for your marketing team and yourself.

✅ Your word bank should include slang words and phrases you would normally use and those you would never use. For example:

I speak very casually to my audience, so I use words like:
“gonna”
“shoulda”
“howzit goin”

This level of comfort is unique to each business and its audience.

✅ Your word bank may include casual or conservative language. Neither approach is wrong. It depends on your audience.

✅ Your word bank is a key asset for anyone working inside your business and to whom you outsource your copywriting or content marketing.

✅ Your word bank can also include the words you use for CTAs clickable buttons on your website.

✅ Your elevator pitch can also be included in your word bank for easy copy and paste access.

WHERE SHOULD YOUR WORD BANK LIVE?

👉 I keep a Google Drive folder for each of my clients, and the word bank lives there.

But it can live anywhere that gives you easy access, such as:

👉 Trello
👉 Asana
👉 Hubspot
👉 Any other project management

👉 Or keep it old school and designate a page in your paper planner for your word bank
