Mercedes-Benz introduced the first-generation CLS (called C219 internally) for the 2006 model year. Whether it's a fastback or a four-door coupe depends on who you ask; what's certain is that it was positioned as the style icon of the company's range. Its swoopy sheet metal hid underpinnings borrowed from the W211-generation E-Class. Production ended in 2010.
Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8, rated at 302 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Known Flaws
The attached Carfax history report indicates that this CLS500 sustained minor front-end damage in January 2020. According to the seller, the damage was caused by a pothole, which damaged the left side wheel edge and was repaired on January 29, 2020, at L&L Auto Service. The report also notes minor damage in December 2024, attributed by the seller to contact with a high parking space stopper, which cracked the front bumper.
Scuffs, scratches, and blemishes around exterior; crack on front bumper
Curb rash and worn paint protection film on wheels
Wear on seats and other interior surfaces; cracked dash wood
Corrosion on spare tire bracket, engine bay, and on some underbody components
The seller notes an exhaust heat shield is due for replacement, as it creates a rattling sound at idle, which is faintly audible in the cold-start video; they add that the vehicle is due for Service C (engine oil and filter change).
