My best advice for getting started with Pinterest?

đź“Ś Start simple. Increase your strategy to match your bandwidth & analytics.đź“Ś

Make a simple plan to start understanding the platform by just uploading a few pins a week and getting used to the process.

Take a post that performed well on a different platform and just upload it to Pinterest as is.

The goal is to get used to pinning your own content NOT to go viral immediately.

Once you have a few pins up, keep an eye on their performance and make a note of any keywords you used to assess the effectiveness of the pin. Even if no one sees it at least make a note of how many pins you created and anything you might feel is important to remember.

California Love…

Last week I had the opportunity to travel to California for a conference for my part time job doing v communications for a community group and I realized so many things one of which was that refresh time is needed to spark new ideas.

Creativity isn’t made in a bubble.
Meeting new people, going new places and having new experiences can take you from men to magnificent in a matter of days or hours.

As I’m on this journey to self acceptance I’ve also realized the importance of sight seeing. Looking around- no really looking around and seeing the beauty in every day moments.

This weekend, slow the grind if you can and go for a walk, look at birds, hug a baby if you have one or borrow one if you need to (give it back tho).

Take time to just breathe and exist without all the extra attached to it. Sometimes it’s the quiet moments where you will find the most inspiration.

I get asked all the time about how I design my signature magazine style pins aka PINMags™️ so in this video I'm showing you how I do it.

I designed this sketch a couple of weeks ago and today I uploaded the images plus a quick boomerang of my IPad that I made on my Instagram account () which is where I share my custom wedding dresses. I already had a template I designed and I just drag & dropped the images and video into the template and changed the text.

About the title: I also make sure to use searchable keywords for my PINMag™️ titles. For example I used the title "Dramatic Black Wedding Dress Sketch by Dani Simone Studio" instead of something like "The Eliana By Dani Simone Studio" because that is not a searchable title. My audience is more likely to search for "black wedding dress" or "black wedding dresses" or some variation so you need to title your pins for maximum search-ability.

And on that note, also be sure to title the file with a searchable title. I used the exact same title which makes it easy but I could also put something like "black custom wedding dress" or
"black wedding gown" or some variation.
