I posted this yesterday to my favorite Hartford group (Hartford WI Concerns, Questions and Discussions.). It had a decent response. I am reporting it here as it really set the stage for my vision for this group.
Do you have a small business idea that you are working to convert from concept or theory and turn it to reality - but you are taking longer than expected or worse, stuck in the mud?
Maybe you’re having difficulty making it happen due to feeling alone, distracted by the needs of the family or the day job, procrastination, or just don’t know where to start? If so, you aren’t alone.
I have a proposition: let’s gather together in a group and put our heads together to come up with ideas to help each other get past their hurdles. I am thinking of creating a group that would meet regularly somewhere over coffee or a meal, discuss in an open forum what is holding us back, and together come up with ideas to bypass the holdups. I imagine an honest assertive group of people freely sharing ideas on helping each other succeed. I feel it is important that each member holds other members accountable for their goals.
I’ve created a group called Small Business Incubator of Hartford-WI. This is a concept of mine and if you are interested feel free to private message me or ask questions openly here.
Summary of my concept is:
1: group of entrepreneurs in early state organization network together
2: member verbalizes their individual issues, group listens and shares ideas to overcome those issues.
3: group kept small so as to maintain order and no overlap of concepts (no competition)
4: if the concept works, we might need to create more groups
5: no cost to members
But today, let’s start one group. Let’s bring some ideas to life. Reach out if interested.
