I've had the pleasure of working with the team at Assisted Living Home Care Services , and their story is exactly why I love what I do. Westfair Communications just featured them, and it's a beautiful reminder of how personal experience can turn into purpose.
Back in the 1990s, Sharon D'Aquila lived two houses down from her grandfather, Edward DeRosa. When he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, she stepped in as his primary caregiver. First hourly help, then live-in care as things progressed and with that hands-on experience, a seed was planted for something bigger.
In 1996, they built Assisted Living Home Care Services from their Meriden home. Thirty years later, it's a thriving, family-run company now guided by the next generation and still rooted in the same mission.
