Last Saturday, Sloan Valve Company took part in the Canstruction charity event in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Canstruction was founded in 1992 by, Cheri Melillo, to bring the design and construction industries together to compete in a friendly competition that also gives back to the community.

The participants compete to create giant structures made up of cans full of food. Only five people at a time are able to build the structure and they must be completed within the timeframe set by the local organizers, but not to exceed 12-16 hours a day.

At the end of the competition all the food is donated to local food banks.

Last week, we unveiled the Extra Credit Union Mobile Branch. This state of the art concept allows the credit union to help their members regardless of where they are located. It features a loan processing area, a teller station, an ATM, and more.

The credit union also opened a new brick-and-mortar location in Washington Township, Michigan featuring a virtual teller, change machine allowing you to directly deposit coins into your account, loan officers on staff and so much more. Come on down to see them or keep a look out for the Mobile Branch.

's event manager has been busy touring the states. We are currently making our way east and recently had some very successful events in Arizona and California. We put together a quick recap of some of these events including the in California.

The Sloan mobile showroom features product samples, functional sinks and soap dispensers all within a self-contained unit that was custom built at our VFI Fabrication Facility.
