So it might seem like a little thing… but I cleaned up and organized our Hastings Display today! Looks like new Hastings shirts need to be in the works! But it felt good to be back.

I haven’t worked on displays in months. It’s been the elephant in the room I’ve been avoiding. The what do I want to do with this place? Mostly it’s been avoided by focusing only on squishies.

As much as we have loved this place, it became our life. I couldn’t go anywhere without someone asking about the store. And it got to be too much. The entire deal was too much.

But what I have found is lately when I see people they ask about our vacation? Or our kids. And it’s just refreshing to talk about something besides STF.

So I’m slowly easing back into the retail store, the answer everyone has been asking for is it’s here to stay in some capacity. Screen printing comes first and we also will not be working all the time, so it will be limited hours that might change throughout the year.

(Also for the super intrusive tv station up the road, this doesn’t need to be a story.) 😊

Little update…

It feels weird but the kiddos are back in school. Outside of softball events, most of the summer I showed up for needoh events and was otherwise at home. So although quiet is nice, I’m missing my kids. They are thrilled for a new year, so I’ll be ok! Back to work.

We get a lot of questions about the store. We are printing away, every weekday. And embroidery, lots of embroidery.

Our retail store is open Thurs, Fri, Sat…. And by appt. Which basically means if you come from out of town and want to shop, if we are here we make it happen. Or if there is something specific that you would like, we will definitely help you out outside of those hours if we are here.

Normally we open at 10 on Sat but tomorrow with the parade we will open at 11. My kiddos are both playing soccer and one of our Saturday regulars in on vacation. So this fit our staff availability better.

We are also here today! Some of the store is a work in progress. We are moving a few things around, and the sidewalk sale is still going on through today. Always fun stuff. ❤️
