We've seen clients be fooled time and time again by scammy "marketing" companies FULL of empty promises. It makes my heart hurt each time. They reach out to you when you are in a vulnerable state, desperate to grow your business, and they take advantage of you, promising what they truly cannot deliver while being across the country or world. Ending the busiest Q1 of my life and business so far, and so eternally grateful! Grateful for all of the businesses and people we've been able to serve so far, all the ones over the last five years, and expectant over the ones to come! For a long time, I said, "no retail, absolutely not." BECAUSE if you know retail, like reallyyyyyy know successful retail, it is A LOT OF WORK, daily grind type work.

However, there are a few times I make exceptions. The main rule of exception is this: your brand is established and stable, you've seen business grow, and you just need help taking it to the next level. THAT is where we can help. Just like this recent client - we've helped increase their online sales by over 1,000% 😳🥳

Now, this is not without work as mentioned above - Kelsey has been on the phone and chatting with Shopify support more than she bargained for. We were workinggggg day after Christmas marking down inventory prices. But, it's super rewarding to see numbers like we are seeing!

I love the fun + creative stuff. Kelsey loves (and is super good at) the technical, intricate inner-workings, and together - we are a solid combination. If you want to chat about growing your online presence in 2026, let us know! 🩷

What a year!
Almost 100 marketing projects

10+ new websites (and currently finishing up more from 2025)

The list could go on and on, but ultimately, we are just so grateful. 2025 made 5 years in business for EK and that feels a little surreal. We've grown, adapted, changed with the marketing climate over the years, but one things remains the same - we love being creative. Whether it's brand design, web design, social media content creation, or just consulting you through business - we promise to always bring creativity to the table, to think outside the box, bring color to your world, and treat your business as our own. Because as I have said from day one, if you win, we win. We are on the same team, and I promise we will always treat you as such.

Thank you to every single friend, colleague, acquaintance, or family member who referred EK Creative over the past year, seriously, from the bottom of my heart. Every comment, Facebook mention, or name drop is the essence of my livelihood.

I don't like making resolutions in the new year, it's just always my prayer to leave every year better than the one before it. Social media is so challenging these days. It changes every single day. Personally, I have released some of the pressure to show up perfectly for myself and for clients. The most important thing is that we are showing up. Showing up authentically. No one cares so much about a "pretty feed" anymore as they do what are you offering and what sets you apart. That's why with our full service marketing clients, we are constantly sharing their brand story online. Telling a story with the pictures and videos that we share. People buy from who they trust. Your business deserves to work with someone who can gain that trust and build that relationship.

We are all good marketing professionals, in our own way. None of us try to copy the other. Do we learn from each other? You bet. But my brand is not Savannah's and Savannah's is not Amanda's. Still not over Rory getting the green jacket, honestly. I think it can teach us all so much about staying the course. Pun intended. It is mind blowing that he worked 11 years to complete the grand slam. 11 years he showed up to the Masters with the weight of the world on his shoulders in hopes that it was his time.

The game of golf is hard. It's a game of patience, mental toughness, strategy and technique. Business ownership can be hard, trying, for sure. The really good ones stay the course, though. Great businesses last, they outlast, really. When you show up day after day, year after year, and do the next right thing, greatness will come. In today's world, we are trained to get instant gratification and instant results, but let this be your reminder that that's fleeting and most often a lie.

I tell clients that marketing is a long game. You go viral? Okay, so what? What happens when the smoke clears? I want to talk to the business owner of the bakery on the corner who has been there 50 years. That's who I want to learn from. I want to be the Rory in the room.

My boys, my team, my why
It's true - boy moms are just built tough. I joke with people I actually have four boys - the two knuckleheads, one on the way, and my husband. Really five boys if you count the goldendoolde. 🤪 Wrestling, picking, nagging, and DIRT are just part of we are at this point. I'd like to think that carries over into how I run my business. We aren't your typical marketing company, we won't put you in a box and don't want to be put in a box ourselves. We work hard day in and day out. I expect a lot from my boys on the field and off the field, and I run the business in the same way.
