REGARDING OUR WELCOME TO HEALDSBURG SIGN:

Healdsburg Signs submittted a few drawings to the City of Healdsburg and to the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber said they had to discuss further at a meeting in May and they would get back to me. Well it's June and I checked on it this morning... waiting on a return phone call.

In the mean time, I took all constructive input and redesigned until I came up with an idea that checked most boxes. I don't have the final say on the design, but I hope to have some.

We will never be able to make everyone happy, but we are just trying to make the entrance to this town worthy of how we ALL feel about it.

The plan is for MOST of the funding to be donated by Healdsburg Signs, as a sign of appreciation for all the support we have enjoyed in this community for over 45 years, but any help from our community would be appreciated.

I already have one business donor who contributed generously based solely on my last post about it.

Last week Victor lettered a Healdsburg Fire vehicle, this week Kyle letters Northern Sonoma County Fire (I love those black reflective stripes)… plus numerous fire safety sign orders! It can only mean one thing. We love spring and summer… but too bad beautiful weather usually means fire season is upon us! God bless California!!

I don't want to give him a big head and brag about how perfect his ex*****on is... but he is just 20 years old, and its mind boggling how fast he learns! I am very proud of this young man!

You know I thought hand lettering without a pattern would be easy, like it was in the “old” days!! … I’d just do a quick sketch with a grease pencil and have the perfect design in half the time!… easy, right?… wrong!! Boy am I rusty!! Practice makes perfect and I’m refreshing my craft more and more everyday!!… so don’t laugh!!… and I refuse to give up!!😉

Here is a recent project for one of our most loyal customers... We have been doing hand lettered and vinyl signage for Opperman's since the 90's.

Their vehicles, their customers vehicles and even their buildings and property signage.

Between Myself, Mike and Kyle, we have just shy of 30 years in the fire service since 1991… it was a great time in our lives and we all have great memories… but this is about as close as we get to fire apparatus these days… regardless we are thankful that HFD still supports our small business… and Victor is having a great time adding their door logo to this utility vehicle… and look how fast he is!!😉
