What a pleasure to partner with and celebrate the success of women elevating women! Congrats to Verdant client Jill Osur, CEO of certified women-owned impact wine brand, Teneral Cellars and Tracy L Prigmore, Managing Partner and Founder of TLTsolutions and Shehasadeal on your partnership in the purchase of Amador County's Wilderotter Vineyard - which includes a profitable winery, 26 acres of estate vineyards, a tasting room, event space and a boutique luxury inn! The acquisition, backed predominantly by a female-led investment fund, aligns deeply with the missions of both women: elevating women and supporting them in their ability to access opportunities to build wealth - through leadership, entrepreneurship and investment. As a company, Teneral Cellars donates 10% of its profits from the sales of its award-winning wines to organizations that promote gender and racial equity. Through both of her ventures, TLTsolutions and She Has a Deal, Tracy, an acclaimed hotelier, real estate investor and developer, creates pathways to real estate investment and hotel ownership (and greater wealth!) for women through education, networking, and mentorship. Brava, Jill and Tracy! Cheers to your new place to purpose and beautiful wines ahead!

Grateful for community. Grateful to collaborate with clients and colleagues who are dedicated to creating positive and crucial change in the world. Bravo, Spirit Works Distillery Ten strong years of pioneering beautiful grain-to-glass, sustainably-driven craft spirits in Northern California! In those years, you've expanded your portfolio from vodka and gin - to sloe gin and barrel-aged sloe gin, navy strength gin, barrel gin, rye whiskey and bourbon. You've crafted gorgeous bottles for chefs and restaurants. You were named Distillery of the Year (2020) by the American Distilling Institute (ADI). Now, you're releasing your first 8 year whiskey, with a sloe amaro, hyper-local rye vodka and a house-crafted bitters line up next. Your creativity and passion is boundless. It's been an absolute pleasure to support you in this journey! Cheers to many decades ahead!

We pride ourselves on supporting artisans, pioneers and changemakers. Bannister Wines is an ever-emerging gem with serious creds, founded in Sonoma County in the late '80's by brilliant industry pioneer, Marty Bannister (also one of the two female founders of Vinquiry), now run by her son, winemaker and furniture craftsman, Brook Bannister. Known for the beautiful single vineyard Burgundian-style pinot noirs and chardonnays which captivated Marty, Brook has expanded the Bannister focus, experimenting with new and esoteric grapes and methods, including a skin fermented "orange" riesling; a dry scheurebe (a German hybrid grape) grown in Alexander Valley; an herbaceous rose, and a sagrantino and ribolla gialla. And now they have a gorgeous, art-filled space to showcase their wines. Congrats to Brook and artist/designer wife Morgania Moore on creating a stunning and welcoming place to sit, connect and immerse oneself in local art while sipping Brook's truly remarkable wines. (Psst - try that Scheurebe!) Wonderful. Thank you for sharing their story and this lovely space!

The winery’s new tasting room in a historic bank building is bohemian-chic. Take a look.

"While it may not be simple to define, sustainability is perhaps the most important issue the wine world will grapple with in the 21st century. Climate change affects every industry, but the threat it poses to wine is existential." Kudos to Kathleen Willcox for this exploration of sustainability, its powerful implications for the future of the wine industry, our land and vines and beyond, and the winemakers and brand owners who are taking up the gauntlet in their own way to have a positive impact on their community, industry and environment. So proud of the hard work of friends and neighbors here in this region, including clients Ridgely Evers of DaVero and CompleteDTC and Matt Iaconis and Alexis Iaconis of Brick & Mortar Wines and Delta Wines for Change. Such an honor to support your important work and leadership!

Most growers and winemakers have turned with increasing interest and concern to tackling sustainability. I’ve had recent conversations that have driven the point home to me about just how large the problem is and how creative people can be in tackling it.
