Domingo Avalos, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. He was born on April 7, 1940, in General Terán, Nuevo León, Mexico, to Camilo Avalos and Juana Hernandez. Domingo was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maria T. Avalos; his daughter, America Salinas; his granddaughter, Valentina Pedraza; his parents, Camilo Avalos and Juana Hernandez; his sisters, Matilde Avalos, Josefina Tovar, and Luisa Avalos; and his brothers, Ignacio Avalos and Camilo Avalos. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Maria M. Aleman, Jose J. (Adelina) Avalos, Nora (Jose M.) Guerra, Ruth (Joe Rey) Avila, and Blanca (Valentín) Pedraza. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Elena Nieta, and his brother, Jose G. Avalos. Domingo leaves behind a cherished legacy through his 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Domingo dedicated his life to his family. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the love and support he provided to those around him. His greatest joy was hunting, roosters, and spending time with his family and watching future generations grow. Although our hearts are saddened by his passing, we take comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and in the knowledge that he has been reunited with his beloved wife and family members who preceded him in death. His love, guidance, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
Visitation: Thursday, June 11, 2026, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at McWilliams Funeral Home, Hempstead. Funeral Service: Friday, June 12, 2026, 10:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Church with Father Xavier Bilavendiran officiating. Burial following at Canon-Mathis Cemetery, Waller, Texas.
