End of the School Year!
As we get tempted by warmer temperatures giving us a glimpse of summer it also signals the end of another school year. Educators and School Faculty alike play a vital role in shaping future generations, inspiring students to dream big, work hard, and believe in their potential. Celebrating these individuals is a meaningful way to recognize their dedication, patience, and countless hours spent guiding and supporting learners both inside and outside the classroom. It takes a special skill set to not only share knowledge but also encourage creativity, build confidence, and serve as positive role models in their communities. The team at Banacom was given the opportunity to assist the Alburnett Community Schools in creating length of service awards for this outstanding faculty. To the Class of 2026 CONGRATS! A visit with Max from Max's Medical Transportation, LLC makes everyone’s Friday better!

Today we had a visit from Service Dog and Best Boi ever, Max, from Max's Medical Transportation, LLC! Max is trained to detect high cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and apply calming pressure by lying across your lap.
In addition to receiving puppy snuggles, he also picked up some new patches for his vest and some tees for his human.

Chug-a-chug-a, Chug-a-chug-a, Choo, Chooooo!!!! ALL ABOARD the Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival Express! The crew from Banacom assisted in updating some of this years Freedom Festival supporters. Today the team at Banacom partnered with Kenneth Outdoors to install a sign for the Center Point-urbana High School FFA greenhouse. They will be hosting an open house and plant sale Wednesday May 6th. It’s getting close to Mother’s Day so stop on up and support a great program with the hardworking, knowledgeable students from CPU.

Here Fishy, Fishy...
The Team at Banacom had the opportunity to produce and install graphics for Bjornsen Pond Management. As I started to see the graphics designed by Basler Design, I couldn’t help but think of being on the water. Whether it was launching a tube jig a “country mile” to entice a slab crappie or throwing a “wacky” worm on some big water of the North for monster Smallies. This time of year, fishing ponds & lakes spring to life with warming water, active fish, and fresh vegetation, making the season one of the most rewarding times to cast a line. As winter loosens its grip, species like bass begin moving into shallow, sun warmed areas, feeding aggressively before and during the spawn. These predictable movements make it easier for anglers to locate fish, especially around nesting sites, submerged structures, and gently sloping shorelines. Spring ponds often feature clearer water and renewed insect activity, drawing baitfish closer to the banks—and the larger fish follow. Whether you're watching ripples from cruising bass or spotting trout stocked in community ponds, the season offers a blend of calm scenery and energetic fishing action.
