Today was a pretty big day for the Trellis team.

For the first time, we gathered around the conference table for a full team meeting in our new office. After four years of working remotely, meeting in borrowed spaces, coffee shops, and client conference rooms, it is pretty special to have a place to call home.

We also updated team headshots and photos, thanks to the talented Jackson Dodd, who somehow managed to make all of us look professional. 🤪

And yes… after years of being heavily outnumbered, Scott is excited that Cameron and Jackson have officially increased the male representation on the Trellis team. 😂

To top it all off, we celebrated our new intern Cameron’s birthday with a trip to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Days like today make us excited about where Trellis is headed and even more thankful for the people helping us get there.



P.S. Swipe to the last photo for proof that Scott has already identified the most important feature of the new office. They may not be the blackberries growing on a trellis at the farm, but the blueberry bushes are a respectable runner-up. 🫐

One week ago, we closed on the new Trellis office, and honestly… it still doesn’t quite feel real to have a home in Murray.

This past week has been full of boxes, building furniture, picking out rugs and tables, hanging decor, setting up conference rooms, and trying to figure out why furniture instructions always seem to be missing at least one important step. 😂 But more than anything, it’s been a week full of gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead.

Looking back over the last four years, it’s hard not to see God’s hand in every step of this journey. He has provided immensely through our family, our team, our clients, and so many people who have supported and believed in us along the way.

None of the transformation we’ve pulled off this week would have been possible without the help of my family. From carrying boxes and building furniture to helping decorate, clean, organize, and somehow surviving multiple trips to buy “just one more thing,” they’ve all been a huge part of bringing this space to life.

This space may say “Trellis” on the outside someday, but there are fingerprints from a whole lot of people who helped make it possible, especially my wife and kids. And I’m incredibly grateful for every bit of it.

We’re also incredibly thankful for Courtney Smith and the teams at Independence Bank & Home Team Title for helping make this process possible and helping us take this next step.

One of our favorite parts of the space is the little nod to Bidwell Family Farms. Each of our conference rooms is named after a type of blackberry we grow on the farm. For years, we’ve used trellises to help support healthy growth there, and now we can’t wait to do the same for businesses here in Murray, Western Kentucky, and beyond.

We’re excited for the memories that will be made here, the clients we’ll get to serve, the businesses we’ll help grow, and the relationships that will continue to be built inside these walls. We genuinely believe small businesses matter, and getting to help them grow every day is something we’ll never take for granted.

Later this summer, we’ll officially open the doors with a grand opening celebration, but for now, heading into the holiday weekend, we’re slowing down a little, catching our breath, getting some rest, and thanking God for how far He’s brought us.

People always ask us how we’re able to support so many clients with such a small full-time team.

The truth is… we couldn’t do it alone.

What a lot of people don’t see is the incredible creative network behind Trellis. These are just a few of the people who help make everything happen, but there are many more across Murray, the state of Kentucky, and even a couple in Florida who help us serve our clients every single day.

They design websites.
Edit videos.
Create graphics.
Write copy.
Schedule social posts.
Fly drones.
Shoot reels.
Build emails.
Capture content.
And honestly, a hundred other things in between.

We literally could not do what we do without them.

We’ve been out a lot this month, content shoots, events, all of it… and yeah, even the new folks got thrown right into the mix.

That’s one of the things we love most about getting to serve local businesses here in Western Kentucky. We don’t just sit behind a screen and “do marketing.” We get to show up. Be part of it. Capture it as it actually happens.

Some days that looks like a planned content shoot, getting intentional photos and videos of a business and what they offer. Other days, it’s being in the middle of an event, capturing the energy, the people, the moments you can’t recreate.

And that’s the stuff that matters.

Real people. Real products. Real moments. Not something generated or staged to look perfect, but something that actually represents the business.

Don’t get us wrong, AI has its place, especially in marketing. We use it. But what our clients put forward as their first impression should be theirs. Their story, their work, their community.

We’re just grateful we get to help tell it.

We’re excited to officially welcome Madison Blakeman to the Trellis team! 🎉

Madison is joining us as our Project Manager, working alongside Lauren and the rest of our team to make sure our clients are taken care of, projects stay on track, and everything we deliver is done well and on time, no balls dropped, no details missed.

If she looks familiar, there’s a good chance you’ve seen her before. Madison interned with us in the fall of 2024 while finishing up her degree at Murray State. During that time, we got to see how she works, how she communicates, and how much she genuinely cares about doing things the right way, so bringing her on full-time was an easy decision.

As we continue to grow, roles like this matter. Our clients trust us with their business, and Madison helps make sure we honor that trust by executing well, communicating clearly, and following through on what we say we’re going to do.

Fun facts about Madison: she’s currently learning how to sew, and her favorite animal is turtles 🐢

Tonight we had our second annual Trellis Crawfish Boil, and we don’t think we could’ve asked for a better afternoon. Great weather, great food, and even better people.

One of our favorite parts of what we’re building here is getting to spend time not just with our team, but with their families too. It means a lot to slow down, be together, and just enjoy it.

If you look close, you might spot the newest member of the Trellis team, whose first official day is tomorrow! We’re really excited about where we’re headed and grateful for how God continues to grow this thing.

Days like today remind us how blessed we are.
