Dear friends, I am a native of South Florida, I have survived many hurricanes in my 65 years, but I am here to tell you I have never seen anything like the destruction in Western North Carolina! Not only was this area ill prepared for a hurricane but nobody expected the destruction this storm caused. The Weather Channel reported there were 800+ landslides, many of those took houses and their occupants with them. It is just so heartbreaking to see!
I have been volunteering up there, doing what I can, but I have figured out that what they really need is money for specific families to be adopted, to provide exactly what they need. To that end, I am doing a fundraiser with embroidered flour sack towels, 2 different designs, 50% of total sales, not profit, going directly to families in need. Towels are $18 each or a set of 2 for $30, please comment or pm me if you would like to order!
