Copy.

Photos.

Branding.

Pages.

SEO.

Technology.

There are a lot of decisions involved in creating a website.

My job isn't just to design it.

It's also to help make the process feel manageable.

I want my clients to know what's happening, what's needed from them, and what comes next.

Because getting a new website should feel exciting—not like you've accidentally taken on another full-time job. 😉

Sometimes a website feels ""wrong"" even though you can't put your finger on why.

Then we start talking and realize...

Your services have changed.

Your ideal client has changed.

Your pricing has changed.

YOU have changed.

The website isn't necessarily bad.

It's just representing an older version of your business.

✨ If your website no longer feels like you, that might actually be a sign of growth.

I've met plenty of business owners who feel almost embarrassed to tell me they built their first website themselves.

Please don't be.

Sometimes DIY is exactly what your business needs in the beginning.

You use what you have, learn what works, grow your business—and eventually you reach the point where your website needs to catch up.

That's growth.

✨ Your first website doesn't have to be your forever website.

One of the misconceptions about web design is that we start by choosing pretty colors and moving things around.

I actually want to know things like:

Who are we talking to?

What do they need?

What's stopping them from reaching out?

What action do we want them to take?

Then we design.

Because design without strategy is just decoration.

And your business deserves more than decoration.

You created a great free resource.

Someone gives you their email address.

They download it.

Success!

But then...silence?

That's a missed opportunity.

They've already raised their hand and said, ""I'm interested in this."

A simple follow-up email sequence can welcome them, provide more value, answer questions, and introduce what you do.

✨ A lead magnet opens the door. Your follow-up builds the relationship.

Yes, keywords matter.

But if your website sounds like it was written for a robot just so Google will rank it...

We've missed the point. 😂

SEO should help the right people find you.

Once they arrive, your content still needs to be clear, useful, and human.

Use the language your customers use.

Answer real questions.

Create something worth reading.

✨ Optimize for search. Write for people.

One of my favorite things is helping clients see how all the pieces connect.

A Facebook post leads to a blog.

The blog brings someone to your website.

A free resource gets them onto your email list.

Your emails build trust.

Eventually, they're ready to work with you.

That's a strategy.

Marketing becomes a lot less overwhelming when each piece has a job—and they're all working together.

Let's say you write one really helpful blog post.

That can become:

→ An email
→ Several Facebook posts
→ A Pinterest pin
→ A FAQ on your website
→ Talking points for a video

You don't need five brand-new ideas.

You need one good idea and a plan for using it well.

✨ Before creating something new this week, look at what you've already made. There's probably more life left in it.

Imagine hearing from a friend only when they wanted you to buy something.

Not exactly a great relationship, right?

Email marketing works the same way.

If every email says ""BUY THIS,"" people tune out.

Teach something.

Share something.

Check in.

Help.

Then when you do have something to offer, you've already built a relationship.

✨ Nurture first. Sell second.

I think a lot of business owners put off email marketing because every newsletter feels like it needs to be groundbreaking.

It doesn't.

Share something useful.

Answer a question.

Tell a quick story.

Point people toward a resource.

Remind them how you can help.

Your subscribers chose to hear from you.

You don't have to reinvent marketing every time you hit send.

✨ Helpful + consistent beats brilliant + nonexistent.
