and we're just getting started!
Illuminatus turned 8 today! Our client retention rate is still over 82%. That’s unheard of in the digital marketing business.
When you have an 80%+ retention rate in most industries, it is due to high referrals from existing happy clients. I understand that most of our clients come from your referrals and I'm honored that you are not only happy with our service, but you trust the team enough to refer us to your friends and family.
For comparison, marketing agencies like ours have been reported around 48%. Banks are around 75% and insurance agencies are at 81%.

It’s pretty weird for me to think about what has happened since the early days when this was just an SEO company. Back then, I spent long nights in a small office. Most of the early days were spent building infrastructure, learning how to do things (and how to not do things), and just doing the old school hustling to build the base. Fast-forward to today where I'm now blessed enough to have a team around me to support our existing services while developing and innovating new ways to help our clients.
It's funny, because the last time I emailed our clients to ask if there was anything else they needed, one of them jokingly said, “Yeah, can you save me some money on my processing fees on my eCommerce site!?”
I'm happy to announce this is no longer a running joke. We now offer credit card processing.

The team started learning and testing how the credit card processing business actually worked. I’ll save you the nerd-factor, but we learned what mattered and where most processors fail.
The first 5 beta-test clients we asked to try with us had a good experience overall. I’ll be honest, we didn’t roll this out to you because we knew there would be bumps and I didn’t want to interrupt the flow of business unless I was confident in it. The first time I went on-site to help set up a Clover machine for a physical location, I couldn’t even figure out how to turn the thing on… I can’t believe I just admitted that in writing, but it happened.
