What file type should I send for my DTF prints?

The best option is a high-quality PNG with a transparent background!

High-resolution artwork = better quality prints!

👀 Something a little different coming off the DTF printer today…

We’re running BLACK POWDER instead of our standard white powder! 🖤

Black powder is a great option for certain designs, especially when printing on dark or black garments. It can help reduce the appearance of light-colored adhesive around the edges of your design and give your finished transfer a cleaner look. 🙌

✨ When might you want black powder?
• Dark or black garments
• Designs with lots of dark areas or fine details
• When you want to help minimize the appearance of white adhesive around the edges

Okay, but let’s talk about GANG SHEETS. 👀

If you’ve ever wondered what a “gang sheet” is.. this right here it gang sheet GOALS 💪

A gang sheet is multiple different designs arranged together on one sheet of DTF film instead of printing each design separately. It allows you to maximize every inch of material.

This particular sheet is laid out precisely to make the most of the available print area 🤌🏼

There’s a LOT more that goes into a good DTF print than just hitting “print.”

This machine is constantly making tiny adjustments while it works from ink placement, white ink coverage, color, layering, film handling, drying, to curing… every part of the process matters.

Getting that smooth finish, vibrant color, crisp detail and proper adhesion isn’t just about having a DTF printer. It’s about learning the machine, understanding the ink and film, dialing in the settings, and paying attention to the little things.

And honestly? Watching it run never gets old. A good print starts long before it ever gets pressed onto a shirt.

A quick reminder about artwork quality!

The quality of your finished product starts with the quality of the artwork you provide. High-resolution, clean artwork helps us produce sharp, vibrant, professional-looking prints.

When an image is blurry, pixelated, or low resolution, there’s only so much that can be done to improve it. Enlarging a small image doesn’t add detail, it usually just makes the imperfections bigger.

In simple terms: what you put in is what you get out. 😉

We always want your finished product to look its absolute best, so whenever possible, please send the highest-quality version of your artwork that you have. PNG files with transparent backgrounds and high-resolution images are always preferred!

Because great prints start with great artwork. 🔥

One of my favorite things about DTF printing is how much freedom it gives you!

You don’t need a giant order.
You don’t have to limit yourself to a handful of colors.

You can print detailed artwork, full-color graphics, photos, logos, small designs, big designs, names, numbers and pretty much anything you can turn into a quality file.

That’s what makes DTF such a game changer for small businesses and anyone creating custom apparel.

Have an idea? We can put it on film.

And watching that idea come off the printer and eventually become an actual shirt never gets old.
