A lot of AI gurus might not agree with me, but the Claude + Meta Ads integration is raising all the red flags. đźš©

I have a lot of feelings about AI and ads, so consider this Part 1 of an impromptu series I’m starting (follow along!).

Here are my biggest concerns:
🚩 By default, this integration gives Claude “write access” to your Ads Manager, which means it can make decisions and run ads without your review or approval. You can disable it, but most people won’t know to.

🚩 It’s still too early to understand how Claude will make optimizations or what signals it’s using to do so. Based on my experience with Meta’s own in-platform AI, most recommendations tend to align with Meta’s priorities, not yours.

🚩Here’s the thing AI simply cannot replace: context. Every time I log into one of my client’s accounts, Meta’s AI recommends expanding a women 40+ audience to include men and ages 18-39. It does not know who your buyers are, what your offer is, or what stage of your funnel they’re in. Real campaign optimizations require strategy, not just data.

AI can be useful for generating ideas and iterating on things that are already working, but it is never the final decision-maker on your campaigns and it can’t replace the human brain, especially when it comes to strategy.

Follow along as I share more red flags 🚩 about Meta Ads and AI, including Meta’s in-platform solutions like Advantage+, and drop your thoughts in the comments.

If you’re new here, I’m Samantha, a Meta Ads and funnel strategist helping established online business owners build predictable revenue with paid ads. I spent 15+ years scaling billion-dollar brands, and now I help put more money in the pockets of female founders.

I hear this constantly: “I took a course, followed the exact strategy, and it didn’t work for me.”

Usually the problem isn’t ads. It’s using a strategy built for someone else’s business.

A $47 course sells differently than a $5k coaching offer.
A brand with years of data runs differently than a growing business.

Your ads need to match your offer, audience, funnel, and goals.

That’s exactly what I’m teaching inside The Successful Ads System on May 13th.

First, save this post and share with a female founder running Meta ads.

The number one challenge I’ve heard from course creators and coaches who’ve been running ads and previously had success, is that “My ads used to work, but since Meta’s latest update, my sales have stalled.”

If your Meta ads stopped working, here’s why:

Meta’s Andromeda update (released late last year) changed the game when it comes to ad creative. Meta now leans much more heavily on your creative to identify who within your target audience is likely to resonate with your message and take your desired action.

This means your message not only needs to be really dialed in, but you also need multiple variations to help Meta figure out what’s truly resonating with your ideal clients. Volume and variety are no longer optional.

Here’s how I’m guiding my clients, online business owners with proven offers looking to scale, that’s helping them generate returns ranging from 2x to 12x their ad spend.

Start with at least 3 distinct hook angles, for example, one focused on desire, one around challenge, and one around transformation. Each one should paint a picture of what your ideal client will get when they take your desired action, but you’re giving them different ways in so Meta can serve different messages based on who is likely to resonate with which hook.

Then take each hook and build multiple ad formats: b-roll reel, talking head reel, carousel, static image.

Test, find what wins, and remix it.

This is how Meta learns what messaging resonates with your audience. The more you feed it, the more it learns. The more it learns, the better your results.

Here’s what I’ve learned after spending millions on Meta ads for brands like Coca-Cola, Lysol, and Whole Foods—and now helping established course creators and coaches scale their businesses:

The ads aren’t the problem. It’s the lack of a system behind them.

Most course creators and coaches are either:

➡️ Following cookie-cutter strategies from courses that weren’t built for their business
➡️ Letting Meta’s “recommendations” dictate their campaigns
➡️ Skipping the testing phase and burning budget on the wrong audiences
➡️ Running ads without a funnel that actually converts

That’s why I created the Buyer Builder Blueprint—my 4-phase system that helps you:
Phase 1: Align your ads and funnel strategy with your business goals (no more guessing)
Phase 2: Test audiences and messaging to find what actually converts
Phase 3: Build an audience of buyers (not just email subscribers who never purchase)
Phase 4: Convert them into paying clients through strategic follow-up

This is the exact system my clients use to generate 2x-12x returns on their ad spend.

And I’m teaching it live on May 13th in my free workshop: The Successful Ads System.

My multi-six and seven-figure clients are seeing 2x to 12x returns on their ad spend, and it comes down to three things.

Want to know how to build a system like this for your business? Drop STRATEGY in the comments and let’s talk.

Here’s what’s working for them right now:
1. They’re selling year-round, not just during live launches.
Gone are the days where a twice-a-year launch and some organic posts can carry your revenue goals. The clients generating consistent income have something available to buy all the time, whether that’s an evergreen version of their signature offer, a lower-ticket product, or a nurture-to-sell system that keeps filling their email list with buyers between launches.

2. They never stop testing.
We always have budget allocated to test messaging, audiences, and offers. That’s how we figure out what actually resonates, so when it’s time to scale, we’re not guessing.

3. Their ads and funnel are completely aligned.
This is one of the biggest mistakes I see, both from business owners managing their own ads and from agencies running ads for clients. If your ad strategy doesn’t match your funnel strategy, you’re not going to generate predictable sales, plain and simple.

This is the foundation of every scalable sales system I build with my clients.

If you’re ready to create predictable revenue from your ads and funnels, drop STRATEGY below and let’s build your system.
