BCTGM Local 358 protest of Monde-lies on May 8, 2018. We were joined by our new friend "Scabby the Rat" Jr. Local 719 has Scabby Sr.

Scabby is trying to decimate thousands of good paying American jobs, in lieu of cheaper, unregulated foriegn manufacturing.

The Company had decided to attempt to "fool" our Members into giving away benefits we paid for by not taking additional wage increases over the years. Is Scabby willing to give the wages back? No, he's a Rat! Just like Monde-lies. Don't let greedy Corporate fat rats fool you into giving up what is yours!!

Good Morning Friends.

Today I am informing our Local that for the first time since 1968, a Strike Action appears imminent for our Local.

Porex LLC formerly American Filtrona, forced a Last, Best, and Final offer to be voted by the Membership in Negotiations last week. It was NOT a recommended settlement. The BCTGM Membership from Porex voted to reject the offer by a 2-1 margin. As per protocol, they then voted to approve Strike Permission by the same 2-1 margin.

The Membership stayed for many hours as the Company was informed. The Company then agreed to extend the Contract to January 13, 2018. So an immediate Strike was averted. We hoped continued discussions would resolve the problems.

However, this morning, the Company has made moves such as Mandatory 12 hour shifts and Mandatory weekend work to enflame the situation.

BCTGM Local 358 is sure it will need the support of all Nabisco, Supervalu, and all other Members to prepare and execute a Strike in this location.

Thank you! To everyone who turned out at 3:30 pm on our National Day of Action on November 16th! The event was a GREAT success! Thank you to the Virginia AFL-CIO, National AFL-CIO, Teamsters, Electricians, Millwrights, UFCW, CWA, Central Labor Council, and nearly 100 BCTGM Nabisco workers for their support.

Sam's Club and Publix we're each treated to 40 to 50 Nabisco workers delivering the message not to stock Mexican produced Nabisco products. Target received a special message from our delegation that day! Thanks to everyone who stood their ground for that one.

A special shout out to the Henrico and Chesterfield Virginia police officers who were good sports and professional interacting with us.

Thanks to BCTGM Local 203T, along with the International for their support in the Southside event.

Keep the faith, boycott the Mexican product, quit asking others to act for you, and get off your butt and stand up for yourself!!

Hi friends, just a reminder that in two days is our 'Day of Action" event. Join us at 8 am or our main event at 3:30 pm at Lowe's at White Oak. We will let Mondelies know that we are as committed as ever to saving good American jobs!
