Mixing business and leisure like a professional 🍾🇬🇧

Out here in England doing the very serious work of drinking sparkling wine in pubs… for science, obviously. The struggle is real. 😌

Honestly though, learning more about English sparkling wine has been fascinating. A few fun facts:
✨ England starting making sparkling wine about 20 years before France!
✨ Southern England shares the same chalk soil seam as Champagne
✨ Most English sparkling wine is made using the traditional method (same as Champagne)
✨ England’s sparkling wine industry has exploded in the last 20 years because of climate change creating warmer growing seasons (climate change is STILL super bad.)

And yes… sitting in a cozy English pub with a glass of bubbles absolutely counts as continuing education.

Last year was our Drunken Love Letter to Oregon… This year? We’re getting interactive with Drunk Wine Trivia on the rooftop at Restaurant AMA in Historic Downtown Hillsboro.

Here’s the deal:
✨ Interactive wine trivia (yes, I said interactive!)
✨ A glass of Basque delight included (wine, sangria, or N/A)
✨ Add-on paella option! Chef on the rooftop with a giant pan doing his thing... arguably the best in Hillsboro… possibly the world. (Independent assessment by Erin) Only $25 (regular price is $34/ person!)

Also important: Erin will arrive (via a designated driver) tipsy and… stay committed to the task. And honestly? She’s hilarious after a glass or five (also independently verified by Erin).

Even better... this isn’t just a party. Proceeds support NeuroMoms Collective, helping provide comfort kits and resources to families in Neuro & Pediatric ICUs. Real impact, wrapped in a very good time.

Back at it for the AAPI Food & Wine Fest... and what a day. 🔥

Created and powered by the unstoppable Lois Cho of Cho Wines (IYKYK), this event is a full-on celebration of AAPI excellence in food, wine, and N/A drinks. Absolute deliciousness everywhere you turn.

For the third year in a row, I had the honor of volunteering alongside Junichi Fujita; an unreasonably talented winemaker and genuinely kind human. The best combo.

Huge thanks to the 1,000+ of you who showed up in Historic McMinnville to celebrate, support, and taste it all.

The proposed data center expansions aren’t just a financial issue. This impacts our land, our water, our wildlife, and the future we’re all shaping together... no matter where you live or vote- you can sign this petition demanding a pause for proper evaluation.
