Do you know the amount of waste we generate per household on average in the United States? Let's narrow it down to a state, since we're in South Carolina, let us use it as our focal point for this question. How much waste does South Carolina, as an entire state, generate in waste in a year (2023)? 4.312 million tons on a population of 5 million. That comes out to be a disposal rate of 4.5 pounds/ per person/day.... That's a lot! We are wanting to do our part in reducing that.... how? One label at a time. When you use Deja Food Labels, you are helped to be reminded, to stay organized, and know when food was stored in that fridge of yours and pantry. It also tells you WHAT kind of food is being stored. You have the ability to write with dry erase marker to get as specific or not as you want to, to match your personality to have a helper that you need to generate less waste, and let you save that extra money for pampering, gifts, and other needs you may have! We've been using our labels for over 6 months now, and honestly, we do not waste food anymore. Well you have moments with our 2 year old and 11 month old where food is wasted as it fell on the floor, or was already reheated, etc, but not from forgotten leftovers. That is officially an old habit replaced! and even my husband, looks forward to placing the labels on containers, and I have those "awe" moments of like "wow, he remembered and took the Time to place it on there! that's so cool!!!!" and he is definitely the personality of not liking change that often! so to see him voluntarily and wanting to do it, makes me realize that to use these labels are not only easy to do, they ARE HELPFUL. :) Think of us the next time you put a container in that fridge of yours and let us help you keep them fresh!
