Nobody emails you to say your website was hard to use.

👀 Headlines that don’t actually say what you do
☀️ Text too light to read outside
📍 Hours + address buried three clicks deep
🐌 Photos that take forever to load

None of it feels dramatic. But it adds up — and it can cost you customers.

And accessibility matters. About 1 in 4 U.S. adults live with a disability that could affect how they use your site.

Introducing The Community Pack — and their brand new website. 🧡

Here’s what they do: they keep Lowcountry kids stocked with backpacks, school supplies, clothing, hygiene items, and even birthday supplies. Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties. 365 days a year.

Why it matters: 7,140 kids across those counties live in poverty. Almost 1 in 3 in Hampton County. Seven out of ten students there qualify for free or reduced-price meals. The average family spends $864 to send one child back to school.

I built this site as a donation, because good design shouldn’t only be available to people who can afford it. Everything they do is now in one place — live needs list, drop-off address, past drives, and six ways to get involved.

My first website was for a café that doesn’t exist. ☕️✨

I made up Salt & Stem — a h**p café on Hilton Head — because I wanted to see if I could build an entire brand from nothing but a feeling.

No client. No brief. No coffee. Just me deciding what the room looked like. 🎨

It became a logo, a 14-page brand guide, photo direction, and the website in this video.

Since then, I’ve built real websites for real people and businesses on this island. 🌴

Turns out, the imaginary café was pretty good practice.
