MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA — Following the critical acclaim of previous releases including “Temet Nosce” and “The Great Silence,” Australian blackened gothic extreme metal force SÁLEZIANOS returns with its most immersive and emotionally devastating offering yet, “Descendant of the Seed,” available worldwide on July 6, 2026.
The release also marks a significant new chapter for SÁLEZIANOS as the project evolves into the singular artistic vision of founder Nick Parkinson, who will carry the project forward as a solo endeavor while preserving the spirit, depth, and sonic identity that have defined SÁLEZIANOS since its inception.
A dark and powerful meditation on inheritance, survival, memory, and the unseen forces that shape us, “Descendant of the Seed” delivers a monumental blend of blackened, gothic, progressive, and doom-infused metal. Drawing from Latin and Middle Eastern influences while channeling the intensity of artists such as Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, Mr. Bungle, and Secret Chiefs 3, the track creates a cinematic wall of sound that is both brutal and hauntingly beautiful.
Produced by Nick Parkinson, the song was written by Nick Parkinson and Daniel East, with lyrics and vocals written and performed by Henry Derek Elis. The track also features a special guest appearance from acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Bär McKinnon (Mr. Bungle, Secret Chiefs 3).
