What a FUN night at Northside Elementary! ❤️🖤

We had such a great time hanging out with the Northside community at our LIVE PRESS EVENT! There’s just something about watching your gear get pressed right in front of you that makes spirit wear even more fun. 🙌🏼🔥

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, grabbed some fresh Northside gear, said hello, and supported our small business. We absolutely LOVE getting out from behind the presses and meeting the families who wear the apparel we make!

The energy was amazing, the kids were excited, and we had the best time bringing a little Sew N Pressed magic to Northside Elementary. 🫶🏼

25 years.

It’s hard to believe an entire quarter century has passed since a day that changed all of us — especially those of us who call New York home.

On September 11, 2001, we were both college students. We were young, still figuring out who we were and what we wanted our lives to look like. We had no way of knowing that the events of that morning would reroute so much of what came next — including the careers we would ultimately choose.

For Angela, 9/11 was a defining reason she chose nursing. Watching the unimaginable unfold, and seeing first responders, healthcare workers and ordinary people run toward others when they needed help most, shaped the kind of person she wanted to become. Years later, she is still proud to be a New York nurse.

Today, we’re also incredibly proud to own a small business here on Long Island — the place we grew up, the place we’re raising our family, and a community that showed the world 25 years ago what it means to take care of one another.

For Long Islanders, September 11th has never felt like a chapter in a history book. The names are our neighbors, our friends, our classmates’ parents, our firefighters, police officers and first responders. The stories live in the towns around us and in families who have carried unimaginable loss for 25 years.

Today, we remember the 2,977 lives taken far too soon. We honor the heroes who ran toward danger, those who worked at Ground Zero in the days and months that followed, and those who continue to live with the physical and emotional consequences of that day.

And we remember the way New York came together.

Twenty-five years later, that part is still worth holding onto.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

I’ve been keeping this project under wraps, and I’m so excited to finally share it. 💗

Broadway Gourmet Bagel Café & Caterers has been part of my life since they opened—first as my college bagel stop, and now as a place my kids call home (Mike can you put Michael Jackson on???) 🥯😂 💃

I never imagined this neighborhood spot would become such an important part of my cancer journey. They learned my chemo schedule, checked in on me, knew exactly how I take my coffee, and became a community that supported me through some of my hardest days. 🥹

Sometimes support comes from the places you expect—and sometimes it comes with a bagel and a cup of coffee. 🥯☕️

Gerard, Mel, and my entire Broadway Gourmet family: thank you for loving me through this and for partnering with me to share a message that means so much:

DON’T PUT YOUR HEALTH ON HOLD.
