A big wedding in a beautiful ballroom is always amazing, but nothing beats the intimacy of a backyard wedding. It was such an honor witnessing Carrie + Scott’s wedding at Carrie’s childhood home. Old trophies and Christmas cards hung on the wall, the rice cooker was steaming in the corner, and the old family dogs roamed around while the family gathered in the living room as they had done hundreds of times before. So much life had happened there! The backyard ceremony was easy and joyful, and afterward it was the warmest feeling watching them cut the cake on their kitchen island and being together in this sacred place. Congratulations on your beautiful wedding you two!!
