If you know James Spann - you know he is genuine and real.
During all of our years of working together, he treated everyone with dignity and respect.

Posting as a reminder to everyone in the workforce… There will always be mean coworkers and lousy bosses at your job…
But there will also be lot of wonderful people inside those walls… So ignore the jerks and celebrate the gems!

This is the first generation that has grown up on cell phones and technology.
And although in some ways, it is a blessing, so much screen time has also negatively impacted true interpersonal communication skills with younger men and women.
One of the best things you can do for your kids is invest in proper and professional training so when they go into high-stakes interviews, they know how to win the room and be memorable… To Land the scholarship and Land the job!
Being an excellent public speaker and being able to perform under pressure, takes training just like any other training you would do for a sport!

We are all standing in the newsroom when the first plane hit … and then the second.
It was silent.
We all stood in the WCNC Charlotte newsroom (shown here in an old pic) and stared at the massive screens surrounding us.
We were all huddled around, tears streaming down our faces.
Even as reporters who covered a lot of horrific events, we too were in shock with the rest of the world.
No one went home.
No one took time off to process.
We immediately started working.
Started making calls.
Started researching.
25 years later I still look back on 9/11 with sadness.
So many innocent lives taken.
So many families ripped apart.
And 25 years later I know these truths to be self evident.
1. We must LOVE the USA. The United States is the greatest cause of our time. The younger generation must take pride in the red/white/blue … we live in the best country in the world!
2. Hero’s are all around us still - just like they were on 9/11. I randomly think about the children who had to grow up without a mom or dad. And that is what no child should ever face.
3. Millions of peaceful Muslims live all around the world and many still face unfair blame, discrimination, and hate after the attacks.
4. God remains good. And even when life doesn’t make sense, all we can do is love him … and one another.
