You may have heard me say over the years that this is my FAVORITE photo. I've literally said it hundreds of times and if you've been in my studio the last couple of years you've seen this photo hanging large on my studio wall.
Many of you have said what a cool picture it was. You've asked if that was really fire? Yes, it is. Is that a real firefighter? Yes, and yes, he was actually working to put it out. See, what makes this image so cool wasn't the person taking the photo but what was IN it.
But today with many broken hearts this firefighter, Chief Scanlon, was put to rest. My heart goes out to the Hopkins Fire Department and Chief Scanlon's family. RIP Chief, I was a lucky girl to know you. 😢💔

You may have heard me say over the years that this is my FAVORITE photo. I've literally said it hundreds of times and if you've been in my studio the last couple of years you've seen this photo hanging large on my studio wall.

I just saw the Public Works Department is hiring summer jobs and it made me think of this project we did last summer. Goal was a staff photo with all the vehicles as the background. It was tricky but I love how the final product turned out! Also, if you are thinking of picking up a summer gig I highly recommend, these people are so great!

Two years ago at a conference we were asked to establish what we want to be known for. My answer was quick, INCLUSIVITY. I want anyone who walks through my doors to know there will never be any judgement & all are welcome here. I was asked the same question at a conference two weeks ago. Same answer.
