This Saturday, HOA board members from across Greater Houston will come together for a day centered on stronger neighborhoods, better connections and practical information they can bring back to the communities they serve.

The HOA Connect Houston Leadership Summit is happening THIS Saturday, August 15, and there is still time for HOA board members to register.

At My Neighborhood News, we see every day how much local leadership matters. HOA board members often volunteer countless hours making decisions that directly impact their neighbors, and this Summit is designed to give them a place to connect with fellow board members, ask questions, hear from trusted industry professionals and engage with local government and community partners.

✨ HOA board members: Bring your questions, your experiences and your ideas. Come meet others serving communities across Greater Houston and leave with useful information, new relationships and resources to help you lead more effectively. Please register so we can plan for food.

🤩 There will also be prizes, including an Apple Watch and a seat on an exclusive holiday light tour to see the most spectacular displays across town!

It’s a natural extension of what both My Neighborhood News and HOA Connect Houston work toward every day: supporting the people who serve our neighborhoods through education, networking, practical guidance and consistent outreach.

That is why the HOA Connect Houston Leadership Summit was created entirely for HOA board members. 🤩

The event is free, and multiple board members from the same HOA are not only welcome—they are encouraged to attend together.

This is not a typical expo. It is a collaborative, board-focused experience built around meaningful discussion, practical education, peer support and real-time knowledge sharing. Board members will take part in roundtables, a live leadership panel, open Q&A and conversations with HOA professionals, local government partners, law enforcement and trusted industry partners.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office will also provide practical guidance on e-bikes and scooters, including safety concerns, enforcement questions and what HOA boards should understand as they consider community rules and responses. 👮‍♂️

From Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office early this morning:

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Provides Update on Missing Child Investigation

(FORT BEND COUNTY, TX) – The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is saddened to report that 5-year-old Edward Hall, who was reported missing on Sunday, July 19, 2026, has been located deceased.

Edward's body was located by Texas EquuSearch Search & Recovery at approximately 1:43 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, in a lake near his home. His family has been notified.

At this time, investigators have found no signs of foul play. The investigation remains ongoing.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office extends its sincere gratitude to Texas EquuSearch Search & Recovery for its invaluable assistance and partnership throughout the search efforts.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Edward's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Help in Locating Missing Child

(FORT BEND COUNTY, TX) – The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing 5-year-old child (pictured below), who was last seen wearing black pants, a black T-shirt featuring Elmo on the front, and no shoes. He has black hair with loose curls.

He was last seen in the 3800 block of Ryans Rock Court in Katy, Fort Bend County, Texas, on the afternoon of Sunday, July 19, 2026.

While there is no indication of foul play, the Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in locating him to verify his well-being. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 281-341-4665, option 1.
