I decided to share this now because I was so worried about her for a long time.
These kittens lived in our backyard, and the day after we found a home for one of them, this little one—the smallest kitten—came to us with her neck tilted to the side. She could barely walk, was meowing constantly, and seemed completely disoriented. As we later found out, at that moment, she couldn’t see or hear much at all.
We took her to a clinic—not the best one based on reviews, but the only one open late—where they gave her an IV to reduce brain swelling. A couple of days later, they told us to take her home. But when we did, she was panicking constantly, unable to orient herself. I feared the worst, that she might remain in that state, and we’d have to make a difficult decision…
We went to another clinic and left her there for three days. For the first two days, there was no improvement, but on the third day, when I came to visit her, her awareness began to clear. I was so happy—I held her close and kept her warm in my arms. I’ll never forget that moment. We brought her home.
What followed was a month of recovery in a separate room, where she had no opportunity to jump on anything. She moved poorly, didn’t jump, and didn’t run. But each week, she improved.
Now, a month and a half later, she’s doing great—running, jumping, and acting like a perfectly healthy kitten.
