Life is complicated, no doubt about it. We start something and it leads us into something else - and that into another thing, and we ask, "How did this happen?" On the other hand, we wouldn't like it any better if we were confined to a treadmill that goes and goes but gets nowhere. It is life lived at a time when order as we once knew it, is nonexistent. It helps to go back to where we started and take each bend and turn and change things - even if we have to admit we were wrong and ask someone to forgive us. All is not lost, and it helps to admit we made moves that were wrong. And even against our most selfish nature - begin to make them right. ~ Do not wrong or hate your neighbor; for it is not he that you wrong: You wrong yourself. ~

GUIPAGO, a/k/a Lone Wolf the Elder, and Etla, presumably his wife, photographed in 1863 or ’72 during a visit to Washington, DC. Chief Lone Wolf fought to maintain a Kiowa homeland on the Southern Plains.

The tomahawk head had a pipe bowl. For airflow, the pith of the wooden handle (haft) would have been meticulously burned out with stiff w**d shafts. The leather heel-wrap perhaps helped secure a wooden plug. The wet-plate collodion negative had an exposure time of some seconds, so there was blur from motion, especially to the woman. I used Photoshop to sharpen details. Facebook’s JPG file compression blurs images, so I used a heavier hand than needed for producing prints. If using a PC, click image to enlarge. The distinctive photograph of downtown Miles City (Montana) could only have been taken during the DISCO ERA. The year was 1977. Among the top hits that year were: "Dancing Queen" by ABBA; "Tonight's the Night" by Rod Stewart; "You Light Up My Life" by Debby Boone. In 1977 I was in Arizona, doing graduate work in philosophy. Patti Buresh from Miles City was also attending ASU, majoring in music. My friends Bob Sorenson, Ron King, and Scott McKinny, all U of M graduates, were also in the Phoenix area. They added camaraderie and color to my life.

Gil Birmingham is an American actor of Comanche ancestry, best known for his portrayal of Billy Black in the The Twilight Saga film series.

Birmingham was born in San Antonio, Texas. His family moved frequently during his childhood, due to his father's career in the military. He learned to play the guitar at an early age and considers music his "first love". After obtaining a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California, he worked as a petrochemical engineer before becoming an actor. In the early 1980s, a talent scout spotted Birmingham at a local gym, where he had been bodybuilding and entering bodybuilding contests. This led to his first acting experience, in a music video for Diana Ross, for her 1982 hit song "Muscles". After appearing in Ross' music video, Birmingham began to pursue acting as his primary career. He studied acting with Larry Moss and Charles Conrad. In 1986, Birmingham made his television debut on an episode of the series Riptide. By 2002, he had a recurring role as the character Oz in the medical drama Body & Soul, starring Peter Strauss. In 2005, he was cast as the older Dogstar in the Steven Spielberg six-part miniseries Into the West. He recently played a Texas ranger a ranger, in Hell or High Water, opposite Jeff Bridges.

Did you know that when we poke fun at someone else we're covering up our own embarrassment? We all have shortcomings, peculiarities about ourselves that we take no pride in nor want others to know about. So, frequently we call attention to the "different" traits of others. Sometimes we believe they are not aware of their own problems, but they are. They are super-conscious of them, and because of it they must escape through finding something about someone else they believe is worse than their own. Truly wise persons are those who take their own unique qualities and build around them. Some of the most fascinating people are those who surround their unusual features with such exquisite mannerisms and beautifully developed personalities so handsomely as to make others ordinary. 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞, whose real name is Geswanouth Slahoot, was a Canadian actor, poet, and writer of Indigenous descent. He was born on July 24, 1899, belonging to the Tsleil-Waututh (Salish) tribe, in a settlement near North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He became widely known for his acting career, especially in films portraying Indigenous characters.

If you have a negative attitude, it means you will lean away from the Spirit. Therefore, if we lean toward spiritual values, then our actions will become significant and important. If we lean away from spiritual values, our actions will become insignificant or unimportant. For example, if we value love, we will lean towards it; we will prefer to express and embrace it. Great Spirit, teach me the significance of spiritual values.

We will live by these habits when we are older. The Elders say to watch the boy with his sister. If he is respectful and treats her good, then odds are thatâ€™s the way he will treat all women when he is older. Also, watch the young girl and how she treats her brother, for that will indicate what kind of woman she will be to her man. We need to teach our children to respect one another while they are young. The best way to teach them is to show respect ourselves. Great Spirit, let me be a role model for the children.

Danny Trejo, born on May 16, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, is a renowned American actor (of Mexican descent) known for his distinctive appearance and frequent roles as a villain in many action and crime films. Having endured a difficult childhood and many years in prison for drug-related and violent offenses, Trejo found a way out through participating in rehabilitation programs and becoming a boxing champion in prison.
