During our visits to select cattle for The Brahmans at the Camellia Sale we stopped by Sandglass Ranch - Hallettsville, TX Division. Their cattle are looking outstanding and performing on grass as they should. It is amazing what a little rain can do!

It's a BIG week for The Brahmans at the Camellia Sale. This week the final groups of cattle will be screened and next Saturday the 55 lot offering will be slotted. TWO females nominated and selected picked up BANNERS over the weekend!

We ALWAYS market some of the top show prospects that have won before the sale and continue picking up titles for the new owners.

In 2021 Lance Wedgeworth who jointly owns The Camellia Barn with his wife Charlee approached Chris about hosting a high end Brahman Sale at his wedding venue. Chris went and evaluated the facility and within a day not only committed to the sale and set the date but booked hotel rooms and had the first 5 lots secured. When it came time to name the sale several options were discussed but it was only fitting that it be called Brahmans at the Camellia. Who would have thought that a piece of Brahman history would be written in a wedding venue in the middle of the South Mississippi woods? Here we are five years later preparing for the Sixth Annual Brahmans at the Camellia Sale that is shaping up to be the best one yet!

As we enter into the Summer, there is one EVENT that is on everyone's mind: The Brahmans at the Camellia Sale! This event will be held on July 18 and is always one of the highlights of Brahman Breeder's year. Progressive breeders from across the United States and internationally make their way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast for a premier cattle offering, outstanding food, lots of fun, and fellowship. The popularity and significance of this event has even prompted watch parties to be formed for breeders who could not attend. As the event approaches, we will be providing spotlights and updates to promote the weekend and all of its festivities.

To kick off the spotlights, today we want to feature THE most important component of The Brahmans at the Camellia Sale and that is the CATTLE.

To date 276 lots have been offered at The Camellia Barn. Each one of these were hand selected for the sale and then carefully purchased by their new owners. We are proud to have offered each of these lots just as the purchasers are to own them. Many of the cattle that have been sold at The Camellia have been influential in the breed, show winners, proven donors, and genetics that impacted herds.

Last year in The Brahmans at the Camellia Sale Dr. Kevin Bryant of Bryant-Cardenas Red Brahman Ranch made the purchase of +Moreno Ms. Lady Rapunsel. He and T. Clark Miller also purchased a daughter of Rapunsel who has gone on to do big things. This year at The Camellia Dr. Bryant & T. Clark will be offering the PICK of the full sisters to the 2025 National Champion Female.
