Design Tip of the Day: Why is my picture so blurry/pixelated? It's DPI. DPI is the resolution in which graphic designs or images are made. The higher DPI you go, the crisper your images will look. But keep in mind, High resolution images aren't always necessarily the best option. The norm for designing digital graphics viewed on a monitor or screen is 72 dpi. On screen, 72 DPI looks great, but for print...we recommend 300dpi! Keep that in mind when making your next flyer if you want your images or photos to look crisp when printed! Or just send the work over to us and we'll do it! :P

Good Morning World! Graphic design tip of the day:

Have you ever worked on a design in Photoshop or Illustrated and it looked awesome on your monitor...only to see it off-color and opaque when it's printed? That's because your design has to be made in CMYK Color Mode! Printers use the CMYK (cyan magenta yellow black) color model to print, but computer screens and monitors use RGB (red green blue). Not all of the RGB colors exist in CMYK mode. Meaning that some of the colors your computer monitor can display can't really be printed, so the printer selects the color it can more closely print, which is usually more opaque. To avoid having this misconception, make all your print designs in CMYK color mode! :) HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY! And SHARE our page! :)
