Hey Houston! ⚽️ We are excited that our city gets to host matches during this year’s World Cup.

Dr. Nidal Ganim joined FOX 26 today to share an important reminder about staying hydrated in the Texas heat, especially if you are spending time outdoors cheering on your favorite teams this weekend.

His recommendation is to drink 2 to 4 liters of water per day, with women aiming for 2 to 3 liters and men aiming for about 4 liters. Do not wait until you feel thirsty to start hydrating. Drink water consistently throughout the day to help your body stay ahead of the heat.

Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy the World Cup weekend! ⚽️💧☀️

📰 Don’t pitch your company. Pitch the story.

The best pitches focus on what audiences care about, not what you want to sell.

Today, members of our team had the opportunity to work alongside the American Cancer Society to help share Miguel’s powerful story.

After battling two different cancers, Miguel continues to move forward with incredible strength and resilience. During treatment, he found support at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge Houston, a free home-away-from-home for cancer patients and their caregivers who must travel for treatment.

We were honored to help bring his journey to life and support Univision’s coverage of this important story. Programs like Hope Lodge help remove barriers to care, allowing patients to focus on what matters most: healing.

Stories like Miguel’s are a reminder of the power of hope, community, and perseverance💙💙

From media training and messaging preparation to coordinating the interview and discussion points, we helped bring an important seasonal health topic to viewers across Houston. Great job by Dr. DelValle on air👏
We also hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend this past Monday, and we want to thank all who have served our country🇺🇸

❤️ Love this story ❤️

9-year-old Adrian Conde was born with spina bifida. He’s had eight surgeries; his first surgery was when he was just one day old. While he can walk a little, he primarily relies on his wheelchair.

Right now, even routine things like getting to school or a doctor’s appointment aren’t easy. His mom, Carolina, lifts him in and out of the car on her own every day. At nearly 90 pounds, that’s physically demanding. When transportation falls through, Adrian misses appointments and sometimes even school.

There is some good news.

Hatching for Health Foundation is working to help, raising funds for a wheelchair-accessible van that would make a huge difference for Adrian and his family. They are hosting a fundraiser, Runway for Cause: Children’s Fashion Show. It’s happening this Friday, May 1.

with shared his story. Check it out to learn how to donate!

By the way, he told Ugochi the first place he wants to go once they get the van is on a road trip to Disney World. 👏👏

Full circle moment 💙

For years, Rich Lord was on the air at SportsRadio 610. Years ago, one of his assignments took him to a groundbreaking in the Texas Medical Center. That project was the Hope Lodge Houston, a place that provides free lodging for cancer patients and their loved ones while they are receiving care in the TMC. That moment had a big impact on Rich.

Today, he’s retired, but he’s returned to Hope Lodge, this time as a volunteer.

Rich was also back on the airwaves today at KCOH The Source 1230 AM, this time to talk about volunteering for the American Cancer Society. He joined Torrien Collins, assistant general manager of Hope Lodge, and the two talked about how volunteers keep ACS going, with 1.3 million volunteers nationwide.

At , we’re so grateful to support the American Cancer Society and help share stories like this.

This Sunday we “spring forward.”

And while we gain an extra hour of evening light, research shows the Monday after Daylight Saving Time brings a measurable spike in heart attacks.

A Michigan study found a 24% increase in heart attacks the Monday following the time change.

Sleep loss disrupts our circadian rhythm, increases stress hormones and inflammation, and can elevate cardiovascular risk.

The good news? Small habits matter.

Earlier bedtimes. Morning sunlight. Less late-day caffeine. Powering down screens before sleep.

Proud to support our client, ,
in bringing timely, practical heart health education to our community.

Save this as a reminder.
