A month ago, in a post, I talked about the rise of chocolate tones 🍫 in the beauty industry: elegant, warm, versatile. Now, Pantone confirms the trend with its Color of the Year 2025: Mocha Mousse, a sophisticated brown tone that promises to tint shop windows and products.

But what does this really mean for the industry? 💄

✅ Opportunities:
1️⃣ Emotional connection: Chocolate tones evoke warmth, confidence and naturalness, aligned with the rise of "clean beauty" and timeless aesthetics. 🌿
2️⃣ Adaptability: Brown is a warm neutral that works in all formats: bottles, containers, shadows, lipsticks and even fragrances. 📦
3️⃣ Storytelling: Associating color with concepts such as well-being, calm, and indulgence connects with narratives of conscious and experiential consumption.

❌ Challenges:
1️⃣ Saturation: When a trend becomes global, there is a risk of losing differentiation between brands. 🔄
