Friends, we could use your help. 🙏 ❤️ Please donate. On November 22, 2019 our father, Luis Forero age 64, was driving home from work in Galveston when he suffered a heart attack while driving home on I-45. He was then rushed to Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital where they had to paddle his heart repeatedly in order to stabilize him. He was there for about one week when he was then transferred to Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular tower in the Texas Medical Center. After multiple procedures including a defibrillator, heart cauterizations and overcoming influenza and pneumonia, he was diagnosed with heart failure. At that time our last option was to have an LVAD assist with the pumping of his heart. Months later our father was still experiencing complications including GI hemorrhaging and multiple blood transfusions. On August 11, 2020 our father’s LVAD alarm went off because he was having multiple ventricular tachycardia episodes. He was then rushed back to the hospital where he is currently at today. We were informed that our father’s heart was progressively failing. He finally received a heart transplant on August 21st (yesterday) and has been placed in ICU. He’s a loving husband to his wife of 43 years, has 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In our hearts we are wanting to give back to our father by paying off his mortgage of $67,500.00. It is our highest hope we can achieve this with the donations and blessings of others. Our hope is that this will be one less worry for him on his transplant recovery. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us help our father.
