🦑STARTING YOUR ONLINE PRESENCE - GENERATING CLIENTS
WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK AND WITHOUT DOING MORE/LESS THAN YOU NEED.
I have been asked to help people with entry businesses frequently over the last few months..... and thought I would just make a post about this.
💯1st of All - you need to understand your goals for tomorrow - not next month or year
👉People come to me wanting to build a full blown website
you do not need a full blown website out the gate
you really only need a full blown website of you are going to build Organic SEO
👉People starting out with a limited budget come to me wanting to set up an Organic SEO strategy.
Ask yourself, how competitive is your market, do you plan on being on Page 1 or 2 in the next 6-12 months within that market, and can you afford the budget it takes to get there in 6-12-months. If not, Put SEO on the back burner, it is not your immediate path to traffic and client generation.
Do not waste your time on $200,300,1000 a month SEO if it is not going to get you to page 1 or 2 in the timetable you need to get to traffic from Organic SEO. Do you go any further than page 1 & 2 when you are looking for something?
Spend this money on advertising and marketing that will get you the business tomorrow.
SEO has a place and is extremely valuable but is a long game play
💯If your goal to get rock'n and roll'n and onboarding clients or selling products, your focus needs to be on immediate traffic and lead/customer capture and acquisition. Not Bells'n Whistles and what may or may not be accomplished in six months to a year.
👉The easiest route to get going immediately is a Landing Page SaaS - these platforms are designed to build your landing page/mini site and market all in one:

👉 If you STILL decide you want to go with Hosting and building a full WordPress[WP] Site
1/ You will need a domain. If you get any new domains get them at https://www.namecheap.com/
2/ You will need hosting, I recommend https://wpx.net/
they will also install your WP, so you will not have to do it.
3/ You will now need a theme/template or Website Builder Plugin
- I recommend you just go with Elementor https://elementor.com/ or Divi https://www.elegantthemes.com/
- I have both and use them for different projects.
- If you are only doing one website then just go with Elementor https://elementor.com/
- If you think you would do more than 1 in the 1st year go with Divi https://www.elegantthemes.com/
💥INITIAL MARKETING / ADVERTISING -
While every industry/niche will have it's caveats and B2B will be different than B2C - DO NOT get sucked into or bamboozled into the wrong advertising.
If you are B2B, you probably want market in Google and LinkedIn
If you are B2C in a "Urgent Need" "On Demand" business like, Plumbing, Emergency Vet, Towing, etc. Advertise in Google and Bing, where people are searching for immediate needs.
If you are in B2C consumer goods, services, that are more entertainment, clothing, personal care, fitness, wants an desires, etc. you want to target market in FB and other social platforms
👉For those starting off in marketing with a very limited budget, do it yourself, get your feet wet, then go find an agency [like mine 🤣 when you are ready to scale]
Don't be scared - go get a course at a place like Udemy
Secret to Udemy:
1/ Look at how many students and what rating
2/ MAKE SURE the content is current, look at the "Last Updated" date
3/ Listen to the preview and make sure you will understand the instructor [some actually annoy me so i don't buy them]
