What if you don't need to push harder?

What if you simply don't have the capacity to implement the strategy you already know you need?

This week on The Visibility Podcast, Lissy Donovan and I talk about creating real capacity in your business and it's not “drink more water,” “get more sleep,” or “just hire someone.” 😉

Because here's the hard truth:

Your business probably isn't going to magically slow down. You have to intentionally create the space.

If you've been saying, “I just need to get through this week…” for the last six months, this one's for you.

We’re doing a 90-day visibility reset. Who’s with me?

For the next 90 days, we’re getting back to the basics of what actually helps grow a business:

🔎 Get FOUND.
❤️ Get LIKED.
⭐ Get TRUSTED.

And I’m reviving my Facebook group to do it.

Every Monday, Wednesday + Friday, I’ll be popping in with quick trainings, visibility tips, real-life examples and little nudges to help you make sure the right people can actually find you, understand what you do, and trust you enough to take the next step.

But this isn’t just a place for me to teach.

I want you to get found in there, too.

Share your business. Tell us what you’re working on. Promote what you’re offering. Ask questions. Make connections. Find collaborations. Support another business owner.

Let’s actually use social media to be SOCIAL again. 😉

If you’re a service-based business owner and want in, DM “ FOUND” and I’ll send you the link.

Let’s get found. 🔎

Before you post MORE… make sure people can actually figure out what you do.

Because if your leads have dried up, your first instinct might be:

I need to post more.
I need better social media.
I need to market harder.

Maybe.

But first? We need to make sure your business is actually showing up clearly and consistently in all the places people are looking for you.

I used to call this my "Google Optimization." But that name doesn't fit anymore.

Because your customers aren't just searching Google. They're asking AI. They're checking your website. They're looking at social media. They're reading reviews. They're finding old profiles, directories, bios, Chamber pages and all kinds of digital breadcrumbs about you.

And sometimes? Those breadcrumbs are leading them in five different directions. 😬

That's why it's now my Local Visibility Optimization.

I go through your digital footprint with a fine-tooth comb and look at your business like a potential customer would:

Can I find you?
Do I understand what you do?
Do I know who you help?
Are you showing up for what you actually want to be known for NOW?
And most importantly, do I have enough confidence to choose you?

Because you can't become the "trusted resource" if Google, AI and your potential customers can't clearly figure out who the heck you are.

And this is where the human piece matters.

AI can help you write a bio, give you keywords and can spit out 30 social posts before you've finished your coffee.

But AI doesn't know that an old Chamber profile is outranking your business.
It doesn't notice that you're still showing up for something you stopped offering three years ago.
It doesn't look at the whole picture and say, "Aha. THIS is where we're losing them."

I do.

I'll show you what's working, what's confusing, what's missing and where your biggest visibility opportunities are.

Then, if you want me to fix it? We can talk about that too. 😉

Local Visibility Optimization.
Because posting MORE isn't always the answer.

A few years ago, someone told me I needed to stop looking for the next big marketing strategy and go back to the basics and hustle.

And you guys...I was offended. 😂

I'd been in business for years. Surely I had graduated from signs, free classes, community events, partnerships, and what I lovingly call “duct-tape marketing.”

Turns out?

I hadn't. And neither have you.

In this solo episode of The Visibility Podcast, we're going back to Marketing 101 and talking about the simple visibility strategies established business owners sometimes overlook because we're so busy trying to figure out the next big thing.

This whole episode was sparked by something ridiculously simple that had me slapping my forehead with, "HOW did I miss that!"

Search is changing.

That doesn’t mean Google doesn’t matter anymore. It means your customers have more ways to search—and they’re getting increasingly specific about what they’re looking for.

So here’s your homework:

Google yourself.

Look at your website.
Look at your Google Business Profile.
Look at your social profiles.
Look at your reviews.

If I knew absolutely nothing about you, could I quickly figure out:

Who do you help?
Where do you help them?
What are you really good at?
What do you want to be known for?
Why should I trust you?

And most importantly—is the answer consistent everywhere I look?

That’s the work I do through my Local Visibility Optimization.

We look at your digital footprint, strengthen your Google presence, and identify the gaps that could be making it harder for the right customers to find, understand and trust your business.

Because visibility isn’t about being everywhere.

It’s about being the obvious choice when the right person is looking.

Be Found. Liked. Trusted. First.

“If people are using AI to find businesses now, how does a small business compete?”

This question came up at a networking event, and here’s what I want small business owners to understand:

You still need search engine optimization.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, or Google, “Who is the best Realtor near me?” or “Find me a dance studio for my beginner,” these tools need information to understand who you are, what you do, where you are, and whether you’re a trusted option.

They’re looking across information available on the web.

Your website matters.
Your Google Business Profile matters.
Your reviews matter.
Your content matters.
And consistency across all of those places matters.

So AI isn’t a reason to stop caring about SEO.

It’s a reason to get really clear about what you want to be known for, and make sure the internet knows it, too.

Be found. Be liked. Be trusted. First.

If you own a studio and you’ve ever thought… “I know I should be posting on Instagram, but what the heck am I actually supposed to post?"

This week’s episode of The Visibility Podcast is for you. 🎙️

I sat down with Katelyn Rhoades, founder of Enfluence Marketing Studio and host of Call Her Creator, and this conversation turned into an absolute Instagram masterclass for local studio owners. And yes…I totally put her on the spot.

I gave Katelyn a real-life scenario: You own a dance studio. Enrollment is coming up. You want more students walking through your doors. What would you actually post? And she BROUGHT IT.

We talked about how to get your studio in front of more local people, what kind of content actually supports enrollment, and how to make Instagram work for you whether you love talking to the camera, prefer Reels, or would happily never show your face on Instagram again. 😉

Because here's the thing: You don't need 350,000 followers. You need the "right" people in your community to see you, trust you, and think of your studio when they're ready to enroll. If Instagram has started to feel like one more thing on your never-ending studio owner to-do list, listen to this one before you create another post. 🎧

How to Use Instagram to Get More Studio Enrollments with Katelyn Rhoades Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

And studio owners, save this episode. You’re going to want it when enrollment season rolls around. ✨

IT'S NOT FAIR! 😩

You've built a great studio.

You've been in business for YEARS.
You have happy families.
You have students who come back season after season.
You're showing up on social media.
You're making money.

And yet...

Someone searches " dance/yoga/pilates/music/art/pottery/ballroom studio near me" and finds three other studios before they find YOU.

Nope. It's not fair.

But here's the hard truth:

Being really good at what you do doesn't automatically make you visible.

And social media alone isn't going to fix it.

Your Google Business Profile is one of the easiest ways to help the people who are already searching for what you offer find you, trust you, and take that next step.

Your studio should NOT be the best-kept secret in town.

Want to fix that?

Comment "GOOGLE" and I'll send you my free Google Business Profile Workshop so you can start getting found FIRST. 👏
