Lawn & Landscape Crew Member

DH OutdoorServices, LLC. is hiring reliable crew members for the season. We’re a locally owned company based in Huntington, Indiana. We are focused on quality work and treating customers (and employees) right.

Pay:
$10–$15 per hour (based on experience)

Hours:
30–40 hours per week
Weekday work (occasional Saturdays optional)

What You’ll Be Doing:
Lawn mowing and trimming
Mulching jobs
Spring/Fall cleanups
General landscape maintenance

What We’re Looking For:
Shows up on time (this alone puts you ahead of most people)
Works hard and doesn’t complain about weather
Can take direction and work with a team
Experience is a plus, but not required
Bonus If You Have:
Experience with stand-on mowers, zero turns, trimmers, blowers
Valid driver’s license

We are looking for skilled laborers to join our Lawn and Landscaping Crews on a full-time or part-time basis for the 2026 Season. A valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from work is mandatory. You must be capable of working safely in all weather conditions. Dependability and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role. Job responsibilities include mowing, trimming, blowing off hardscapes for the mowing crew, and assisting with landscaping projects, tractor work, shrub trimming, minor shop maintenance, and snow removal during winter months. Had a customer call today requiring driveway excavation services. The snow was densely packed, so we utilized the tractor to scrape the compacted snow down to the original pavement. Please contact us if you need your driveway restored to its original state or require snow banks to be pushed back out of the way for future snows.

I regret to inform you that we are currently experiencing significant operational disruptions due to multiple truck breakdowns. Despite efforts to get 1 backup, it suffered a transmission failure after only an hour of operation. We are uncertain about how to proceed at this point, as all necessary repairs are major in nature. We are working diligently to resume operations and appreciate your patience as we attempt to provide limited service to a reduced number of customers using our tractor. Unfortunately, we have been forced to decline a substantial amount of work over the past couple of days. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding. 😥

We are pleased to share before and after photos of a project recently completed at Transmetco in Huntington on Saturday. The facility had an urgent need for new stone. We arranged for the delivery of 9 tri-axle loads of #73 Limestone, stockpiling the material to enable efficient spreading and grading on Saturday during a period of reduced truck traffic in the parking lot. If you require parking lot or driveway maintenance, please contact us for a complimentary estimate today. Here are a few pictures of a problem one of our clients asked us to help resolve. During heavy rainfall, they experience significant water runoff from the road into the ditch bank. The water overflows the bank near the large tree, flows adjacent to their building, and floods their rear parking lot. They utilize the rear stone parking lot for material storage and encounter difficulties navigating the lot with their forklifts. To address this issue, we added four tri-axle loads of topsoil to elevate the mound, preventing water from overflowing, and applied seed and straw. This solution should resolve their issues.
