Senator Mark Maynard Provides Advanced Firefighting Technology to East Fork VFD
/Dingess WV/
West Virginia State Senator Mark Maynard continues to show his dedication to first responders by securing modern firefighting equipment for the East Fork Volunteer Fire Department in Dingess.
Following a request from Senator Maynard, Permco Inc. presented the department with a Community Grant that includes a new eFireX lithium battery fire extinguisher system. This innovative equipment addresses one of the most challenging fire risks facing emergency personnel today.
Designed with an all-natural encapsulator agent, the eFireX system rapidly suppresses and cools intense lithium-ion battery fires often found in electric vehicles, e-bikes, and energy storage units. By interrupting thermal runaway, it provides firefighters with a safer and more reliable tool to safeguard lives and property.
“Supporting our local first responders is more than a grant — it’s personal,” said Permco owners Robby and Todd Shell. “We are grateful for Senator Mark Maynard’s leadership in identifying this need and for his ongoing work to strengthen safety across our communities.”
