Things are beginning to get real out to our west. SPC will soon upgrade part of AR and most of northern MS to a rare High Risk outlook (just
like they did the TN Valley on 04/27/2011). Potential for "numerous strong to potentially violent and long-track tornadoes" is developing across that region. PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) tornado
watch to be issued sometime soon for that region.

I still don't think things are going to be quite that severe across the TN Valley tonight, but the situation definitely has my attention now and we are going to have to watch things closely later this afternoon
and into the evening hours.

Everyone needs to stay weather alert tonight!

Forecast models continue to indicate the potential for strong/severe storms again late tonight into the overnight hours across the TN Valley. Greatest threat for severe weather looks like it will stay to our west
and northwest over parts of AR/MS, southeastern MO, and western TN/KY where there could be an outbreak later this afternoon/evening.

As the storm system moves further east later tonight, it will likely evolve into a QLCS (squall line) with the potential for strong/severe storms, with damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and some tornadoes. Think
the storms will be stronger west of I-65, but don't count on that.

Best guess on timing for the greater HSV/MAD area (as per NWS HSV) is 1:00 am - 3:00 am, though I have seen some forecast for an hour or so earlier than that. Will expect a tornado watch to be issued sometime this evening for north AL and south-central TN.

Recommend attention to NWS and local media forecasts tonight and have multiple ways to receive warnings should they be issued for our area.
Hopefully we will not see a repeat of last Friday but the potential is there, so stay weather alert! I will continue to monitor the situation today and advise when/if warranted.
